I’m still mystified why you think that a former State Treasurer and a current Congressman are second-tier candidates.
I hope one of them wins and not Brunner who lead in the last primary poll I saw.
I’m also confused why some people think Steelman is a RINO while others think she’s the second coming.
I’d vote for Akin if I lived in the state.
Recovery is not impossible but right now McCrapskull would lose for sure to any of the 3.
Agree. MO has 3 good senate candidates. Turnout was srrong in my little town. I am so glad as that is a good sign. Hoping Kinder wins Lt. Gov...he has the endorsement of Rush Limbaugh.
Just saw this. Akin and Steelman are first-tier (as is Brunner, by reason of his $$). If they’re not, nobody in MO is.
Thanks Tom. I’m without local news coverage for Missouri right now.
The only consistent trend I have noticed tonight is the SORRY
Election Site. It either crashes or takes forever to load the
page. They can’t handle the traffic. Some IT-Tech Heads need to roll.
McCaskill’s at only 31.4% overall with about 12% reporting. Granted KC hasn’t reported yet so that will certainly boost her numbers when those results come in.
Akin has a slight lead for now but it’s still close.
How is Peter Kinder doing?

"Palin's choice" means nothing to me. Palin is not from Missouri.
I've not been impressed with how Steelman has conducted herself the last four years or so, since she ran for the nomination for governor.
I don't like how Brunner has conducted this campaign, using his fortune to run a bunch of negative, misleading TV ads.
That leaves Akin. He's been my congressman, he's a conservative, and overall I've been satisfied with him.
I think there is no overwhelming choice here among conservatives in Missouri. We're voting for all three. And we'll all vote for the nominee against ObamaClaire.
Thanks. It looks like we’re really in for a horserace—it may be a long night. It’s nice to be in a situation where we don’t have a RINO in the race taking advantage of a split in the conservative vote.

Mo. election website bogged down on primary night
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Missouri secretary of state’s office is blaming new computer software and heavy usage for troubles that people are having viewing election results over the Internet.
The website for Secretary of State Robin Carnahan has been slow to display results from Tuesday’s primary elections.
Carnahan’s office acknowledged the problems in a tweet, stating that the new software and heavy website traffic were slowing down the computer servers. The secretary of state’s office said it is working on a solution.
Go David Spence for Governor!!!!!!!!!!!! come on Kinder!
Kinder is damaged goods. He shouldn’t even be running for reelection.
Of course it will have heavy traffic on election night.
The real question to Carnahan is why did you not anticipate
the heavy traffic?
Rush has really been pushing for Peter Kinder on his show..would be a terrible loss for MO if it doesn’t pull it off. I would bet David Limbaugh is supporting Kinder too.
why do you say that fieldmarshaldj?
I suppose if Robin Carnahan were a Republican some on the left would accuse her of incompetence, or trying to fix the vote somehow.
Anyway I hope the strongest candidate wins in MO. I did not know it was an open primary so I was surprised to see McCaskill’s name there too. I just think closed primaries are better.... Any preferences on who should win in Michigan tonight also?
