I would have no problem with her, even if I totally disagreed with her position, but.....she knows absolutely nothing about our industry, and....that idiot teamster president James Hoffa, Jr. is a ranting buffoon that knows zilch about our international aviation maintenance industry. I would not let either of them take out my garbage at night, that is how uninformed and incapable they are.
Having said that, celebrate tonight, for the GOP has turned out about 650,000 voters for its senate and governor primary, quite a positive feat. Dead beat Dems, not even close. Bodes well for November 6, 2012. Right on, fellow A&P mechanic!!! God speed and safe flying!!!
Looks to me like you need to have your eyes checked.
And what was the crap on the other post about "Our Sarah"? Is she kind of like "The Madonna" to you or what?
Because I don't think she was that great of a candidate. She wasn't seen as significantly better than the other two. I'm not surprised she's finishing third. Palin may have helped her a little, getting her from 25% to 29%. Maybe.
I don’t take “orders” from politicians — I support or oppose them in their pursuit of functionary positions such as dog catcher and the like.
The Republic is first in my heart — none other.
The voter turnout for the Dems was low maybe the open primary invited them to sway the outcome to who Claire wanted to run against and at the same time make Palin look like a loser by sabotaging her candidate. Open primaries are the Devil’s tool and they have always watered down to party vote with people who have no right picking the Republican.
Thanks for the kind word CH. Coming from you it means a lot. I got busy and forgot to respond.
As an old timer who did YAF doorknob flyers for Goldwater as a fifteen year old I think this is a critical time for conservatives to stay together and focused on all the elections.
We have to let our countrymen know the electorates’ broad conservatism and allow them to recognize the propagandizing of the leftist media and academia.
You're overthinking this. This election was not about Palin. She had very little impact on this race. She may have gained a few points for Steelman among those who didn't know whom to pick, but that's about it. Nor was this race decided by tricksy Dem crossovers. This was a race among three conservatives, all close on the issues, and the Republican voters picked the one they liked best. Claire may have thought a few weeks ago that she would have her best shot against Akin, but that may backfire on her. Akin has gained strength, and the Republicans all will rally behind him. ObamaClaire is in deep trouble in November.
207 was meant for you. It’s getting late.
Akin 36%
Brunner 30%
Steelman 29%
Others 5%
The outcome is pretty close to what I was expecting. Earlier today, I would have guessed Brunner and Akin both in the 32-33% range, and that it could go either way. I did think Steelman would finish third, and at about 29%. Akin did about three points higher than I espected, and Brunner about two points lower. Akin has been surging the last couple weeks; all the momentum has been his way.
I hope Steelman gets out and supports Aiken - it might help her in the future.
I don’t know what future Steelman has. She tried for the nomination for governor, didn’t get it. She tried for the nomination for senator, didn’t get it. Previously, she did succeed in her run for state treasurer. But that is increasingly distant in the rear-view mirror. But, you’re right, it would help if she could be a better team player.
Congrats to Akin.
I hope he does you MO folks as much good as Ted Cruz does for us. :)
Crap, Kinder won thanks to there being minor candidates in the race.
If loses to Montee he should be exiled to North Korea.
Yeah, just after we got rid of McCaskill’s Mini-Me Montee, she might make a successful comeback because of the flawed incumbent Lt Gov (and if she becomes Lt Governor, it makes her the leading Dem Gubernatorial nominee in 2016 regardless if Nixon wins or loses).

Jeeze...
Carnahans are like Kennedys and head lice.. very hard to get rid of.
Why would Rush Limbaugh endorse Kinder? we know how Rush rants against any abuse of tax dollars?
The only logical conclusion I can come up with it is that the allegations were bogus. Kinder claimed auditors went over his records and there was no criminal wrongdoing. After all, we know Republicans are subjected to standards that no Democrat ever is.
You may or may not be familiar with the former GOP Kentucky Governor, Dr. Ernie Fletcher. He had been the first Republican Governor elected in 36 years. He discovered that the state government was infested with Democrat patronage hacks and wanted to change that (since those hacks would be looking to undermine his administration). He committed the cardinal sin of (gasp !) wanting to have Republicans in those positions instead.
The Democrats howled at Fletcher attempting to have their hacks removed and lodged charges at him of daring to change the status quo and the lead hack/thug Democrat Attorney General rode him hard for the entirety of his term. Meanwhile, the constant attention on the subject made Fletcher look like the bad guy and his approvals sunk (and some of his gutless allies jumped ship). By the time it was over, the Democrats defeated Fletcher and the issue miraculously disappeared (since it’s OK when Dem Governors line the state gubmint with their party hacks). The execrable Attorney General was rewarded by state Democrats, he returned to the state legislature and they promptly elected him Speaker. “Mission Accomplished.”
Although not the same situation as Kinder is in, you can see the different set of standards applied. If Kinder were a Democrat, you’d hear not a peep on any alleged allegations (indeed, there’d never be any allegations). Well, you get the picture.
Yeah, we are stuck with Akin now. Please pray for us, our Country, and the will of the conservatives to vote out the Pelosi of the Mid-West.
McSNAKEoilCaskill must be gone in Nov.
