RNC Chairman Reince Priebus hopes Sarah Palin will speak at the Republican convention in Tampa.
I think a lot of her and hope that she does speak, Priebus told Greta Van Susteren on Fox News on Monday night.
If Palin does speak, she would join other prominent GOP women whose national profiles have risen since Palin was pushed onto the national spotlight after McCain chose her as his running mate. In addition to Rice, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez also will be speaking.
Palin told a reporter July 25 from The Tampa Bay Times that shed have an announcement in a couple of days regarding the convention, though no announcement came.

"RNC Chairman Reince Priebus hopes Sarah Palin will speak at the Republican convention in Tampa."
Well, Reince, as Chairman you should know at this late date if she is or isn't. And since she wasn't invited, I hardly think she's going to storm the podium on her own volition and grab a microphone.

She will be Wash-n-Reince, but it will be a couple of blocks from your diddling convention...

Since Romney isn’t the actual nominee until the delegate votes are counted and certified, and if the word “Chairman” means anything, I’d say this could be taken care of by Mr. Priebus himself with a couple phone calls. Is there a Republican wimp factory somewhere that manufacturers these a**holes?

I believe she will speak at the convention, but they are waiting the right time to announce it. Just the announcement alone will cause a 48+ hour death scream from the DemoNazis and while they are distracted, allow Rove to unleash the Hounds of Hell on the RATS and keep them on defense for the weeks leading up to Nov.
Had to get that out there.

Having Sarah speak would go a long way in bringing us all together...at least until we can finally boot the establishment elite rinos to the curb. They ought to let Demint and West speak too.

I believe she was asked, but may have had a problem with the time slot offered her.

They're teasing the announcement of when she's going to speak, in order to generate some new buzz and media coverage for the event. It seems pretty obvious.
Yet some people want to imagine that it's all a grand conspiracy to shut Sarah up. When the announcement of her coming appearance at the convention is made, the people who imagined the conspiracy will conclude that by figuring it out, they prevented it from occurring.
"They read my post on a website and realized we were on to them so they had to let her speak!"
Just goofy.

Oh to be sure, Mrs. Palin will speak; either at the faux Republican Convention or at her own gathering.
I kind of hope it is not at the Convention but at her own gathering.

IF reince preibus wanted her to speak... she would already have been named... but this is just damage control because Conservatives are a powerful group.. even it mitt and his gop/e have tried their best to convince us all that we are not.

To: BarnacleCenturion
the thing he said was that he couldn’t make that announcement at this time.(aprox).....and it sounded like “something” is already in the works that both Sarah and Romney know about......
Allow me to say what a great VP she would be for him.....

I agree with your assessment, and I’ll add Mittens doesn’t want to be upstaged. Then again you don’t think they live in a vacuum, they read FR and other conservative websites and know what folly it would be to exclude the Kingmaker from Wasilla.
Could you imagine the shock and awe if she was the Keynote and introduced the next President of the United States Willard “Mittens” Romney!
Wouldn’t that rile up the GOPe and the base, Yippee Ki Yea.
