Should someone be fired from their job and threatened with violence, torture, even death because they have an opinion different than yours? Of course not. And yet, that is what Adam M. Smith of Arizona says happened to him.
Adam Smiths life has been turned upside-down in the 36 hours that followed his posting the video of his protest at Chick-fil-A, which involved letting a young, female employee at the drive-thru know what he thinks about the company. (You can watch the video here.)

If this is a re-posting, I'm sorry. I'm just pointing out that Adam Smith (who reminds me of Wesley from "Forrest Gump") never really apologized. Also, those "death threats" were more likely from guys who e-mailed him and told him to try that rant on someone bigger than a high school girl, and he'd get his a$$ kicked.

Should someone be fired from their job and threatened with violence, torture, even death because they have an opinion different than yours? False choice.
Unless you ask a Muslim and they will say yes.

I can only hope that ‘Adam’ enjoyed his free water.
Unfortunately, I’ve watched a lot of videos posted on the internet but this one showed a miserable excuse for a human being attempting to be a successful smart ass berating a lovely young worker who was forced to put up with his homosexual ranting.

Should someone be fired from their job because they show themselves to be a fool and embarrass the company?
Hell yes.

The guy viciously abuses an innocent high school girl then posts video of it on the internet to gloat - what did he think the reaction would be?
To: MuttTheHoople
Adam misses the point yet again.
To: IbJensen
And if you are dumb enough to post the whole thing on YouTube-
that says a lot about the person right there.

I still find it hard to believe that his name is Adam Smith, sort of the father of free markets.

Boo hoo, poor Adam Smith. he found out that it's not your opinion that people are trying to squash but your actions as a bully of a captive subordinate young uninvolved female, and your denigration of her character for her belief of causing no offense to you.
If the consequences of your actions make you limp for life, it's a lesson well learned, and your "death threats" come from your own, not from the people you attacked.
Live with it, douche.

This is the Left at its Alinskyite best: when all else fails go on the offensive in full blame-the-victim mode.
Good luck ginning up any sympathy for this wad. And best of all, he’s a symbol of your whole obnoxious, hate-filled movement. So good luck recovering that too.

Notice he is still blaming others. It was this other video that gave me the idea. It was this hate group that blew it out of proportion. I'm a victim because I was fired and am getting all these horrible emails. Blah blah blah. If he came right out and said “what I did was wrong. I apologize to the young lady and the store. My actions were reprehensible, and I hope some day that she finds it in her heart to forgive me” THEN I might feel bad for him. As it is, no.

At this point, his strategy might be to get some Soros funded organization to hire him. Might happen too.

One of the first thing that my parents taught me, back in the dark ages, was that words have consequences. Mr. Smith is way beyond the age to have learned that lesson. Plus, he treated a younger woman with contempt by his actions. For which, my mother, would have castrated him! (Mom was 6 foot and about 145. She hit me so hard, once, that I almost took the frig out!)
Maybe I’d have more compassion if Mr. Smith were a pimply-faced kid and not a fully grown adult man?!

I'm guessing in his sick mind he imagined his little stunt was going to do the same to Mr. Cathy.....he would be taking bows and hailed as a liberal hero......funny how things work out!!!

The story here is NOT how he treated that woman. I suspect that happened all over the country that day. It is not even that he recorded it.
The story is one of the delusion of liberals. They hang around their own so much that they forget that when they step back a ways, they are not the majority.
The story is that he honestly believed he would be "praised by the world which would laugh with him at Chick-Fil-A.
This is the mistake a lot of liberals, all the way to the president, are making. They think they are the majority. It is empowering them to do really stupid things. e.g. Obama AND the democratic party supporting same sex marriage.
What is so comical is that any reasonable person can look at the history of same sex marriage when it comes to a vote of the people and realize it is NOT supported by the general population.
And hidden in those stats is the fact that most who vote for it do so out of an "It's none of my business. Live and let live." perspective. Add bullying to your active support of homosexual marriage and you will lose even them.
