The story is one of the delusion of liberals. They hang around their own so much that they forget that when they step back a ways, they are not the majority.
The story is that he honestly believed he would be "praised by the world which would laugh with him at Chick-Fil-A.
This is the mistake a lot of liberals, all the way to the president, are making. They think they are the majority. It is empowering them to do really stupid things. e.g. Obama AND the democratic party supporting same sex marriage.
What is so comical is that any reasonable person can look at the history of same sex marriage when it comes to a vote of the people and realize it is NOT supported by the general population.
And hidden in those stats is the fact that most who vote for it do so out of an "It's none of my business. Live and let live." perspective. Add bullying to your active support of homosexual marriage and you will lose even them.
It's more like 40% Conservative- 19% Liberal- 25% Conservatives who claim to be Moderate Because They're afraid to get ridiculed- 16% Liberals who Claim to be Moderate Because They Want To Hide Their True Intentions.
Problem is, Republicans believe the 40-40-20 they don't realize that, if they espouse true Conservative Values, they already win 60% of the vote.
