Cruz: Tea party ‘overwhelmingly’ behind Romney
The Washington Times ^ | August 5, 2012 | Sean Lengell

Ted Cruz, who rode a tea party wave to win the Texas Republican Senate nomination last week, said Sunday the movement will “overwhelmingly” support Mitt Romney in the November presidential election.

Mr. Cruz said tea party activists will rally in defense of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee because they’re “energized” to defeat President Obama.

“I have spoken with literally thousands and thousands of tea party activists, and I have yet to met a single tea party leader that is not going to vote for Mitt Romney and work hard for him,” Mr. Cruz said on Fox News Sunday.

“Our country is in crisis, and we’ve got to stop this Obama agenda if we’re going to preserve opportunity for our kids and grandkids.”(continued)

No, no, no... Mitt LOVES the military. And the ABOs can’t wait until he continues the homosexualization of it so there will be more LOVE to go around for everyone!

Now THAT is love and respect for our military.

Mitt did state he has no intention of returning to DADT after all...

We aren't on the attack and heading into an ambush; we are defending our nation from the final assault of Barack Hussein Obama - and our nation will not survive if Obama wins a second term. If you truly believe that Romney is as bad as Obama, then go ahead and help Obama win a second term and be proud of helping him.

This is a two-man race, and whichever choice you make will help one of the two. Voting for a third party candidate or not voting at all is just a half-vote for Obama.

... the choice is between Romney and ZERO. The others are there to help O win.

Absolutely false, mathematically a fallacy. The electoral college notwithstanding, there is only ONE WAY to vote for Obama, and that is to mark his name on the ballot. There is only ONE WAY to vote for Romney, and that is to mark his name on the ballot. There is only ONE WAY to vote for government tyranny, and that is to mark the name of a statist on the ballot -- Obama and Romney are both statists.

A third party vote favors neither Obama nor Romney, but it does NECESSARILY reduce the popular vote count of whichever guy wins, thus it contributes to a plurality. The last time a liberal was elected president on a plurality, he was impeached. The time before that a liberal was elected president on a plurality, he was forced to move right by the Republican Revolution.

The idea that not voting for Romney is "indirectly voting for Ocrappy" is a total emotional fallacy. And the idea of voting "against" Obama is as imaginary as voting for pretty pink unicorns. You can only vote FOR something. There is no voting "against." Even on proposition, you either vote FOR passing it, or you vote FOR nixing it.

There is no "voting against." I'll be voting FOR a plurality.

"ABO is an affliction and I pray to God that conservatives get over it before November."

And do what? Let Obama have another four years? Do you really think that's what's best for this country?

I think the "affliction" is "Romney is not a conservative because of this or that so we will be better off with a communist".

I know that Mitt is the GOPe candidate. You never said who you were voting for. I gave you some of the reason why I am voting for Mitt. Here we have Mitt who ran Bain Capitol and created many jobs and on the other side we have Obama who’s claim to fame outside of politics(maybe) is that he was a community organizer. No comparison even though you say they are both liberals. I am not trashing anyone, I am just trying to have a discussion why you and others are voting for whoever it is. All I have been getting is Mitt is evil, Mitt is a liberal etc. and I am a Communist and I am stupid from you guys. So all I can come up with is that you don’t care if the country is $20 Trillion or more in debt during the next four years as one issue of many.

“You believe anything you read positive on romney. Imagine that - you were a LIBERAL all along!”

You forgot that I am a Communist and that I am stupid and that I should not have any children. That is all you guys have is name calling. When it comes to discussing the issues I have been raising there is nothing but silence from your side of the aisle. Is that not what liberals do when a Conservative is trying to have a discussion? Start into name calling right away?

We are in a desperate battle to save our nation, and the enemy is in our wire. Some of you would rather shoot at the trees than at the onrushing enemy. Fascinating.

It would be nice if FIRST Romney would at least ack our conservative presence on the political battle field before we come to the rescue of the POS candidate.

He is ashamed of us and the feeling is mutual.

I am not so eager to spread my ass for that political prick like the ABO'ers seem to be. Whores all.

Yet, by your actions, you will allow the chief advocate of those policies to continue for another 4 years. Think of the possibilities when one doesn’t have to worry about reelection.

Once again, where’s your alternative?

Who needs Democrats when we are intent on destroying ourselves.

/enjoy the rest of this thread. I’m heading over to NASA.gov to follow Curiosity.

Calling a dog’s tail a 5th leg does not make it one. You do whatever you have to in order to sleep at night. I’ll vote conservative and not have that problem. I’ll sleep knowing I didn’t help elect another supporter of the policies that endangered America to begin with.

But if you think electing a liberal, be PROUD of your position. March in a parade and show your pride. Let the world know that only a liberal can fix the country another liberal hosed so thoroughly.

I’ll look to the example of the founders for guidance. They didn’t abandon their beliefs. And their position was far mor dire than ours.

OK, so I go into the voting booth and don't vote for Romeny, so Obama gets .5 votes.

The guy behind me, obviously a Liberal who hasn't bathed for a couple of weeks is next. He doesn't vote for ROmney either, so that ANOTHER .5 for Obama. Now Obama has a total of 1.0 votes.

THEN, he actually votes for Obama!

Now Obama has a total of 2.0 votes?

Now I'm beginning to understand how Obama got 54% of the votes in 08.

Helping Tea Party candidates will be the biggest thing he can do.

He's campaigning for Murdock. How's that?

Hmmm... who else ‘feels’ rather than deals in facts...

When it comes to discussing the issues I have been raising there

LOL!! What issues - what is there to discuss? Seems more like you use the word 'discuss' when you really mean 'convince'.

Romney accomplishments are anti-American, he's a cult leader etc etc.

What more is there to discuss with the romney crowd with their head in the sand and thinking good would come out of evil. Exposing anything about him - the dumb down crowd have 'no ears' but 'all mouth' with wanting company in their misery!

So it all boils down to - you bow to evil or you don't.

Bring any discussion you feel you need to the GOP where it belongs.

LOL!! Clueless! HE is after 'his supporters/audience'!

He helps NO ONE but himself - the sooner you learn that the sooner you can come out of your cocoon!

I believe that is a true statement from the people who I have talked with. The radicals here on FR won’t.

No, they won't, and it's impossible to reason with them. I won't read past the first few comments on these "I hate Romney" threads anymore. He wasn't my first choice, but now he's my only choice because the alternative is four more years of destruction by the Obozo. It's time for the Romney-hating crybabies to grow up and face facts.
