PALIN CAMPAIGNS WITH MISSOURI SENATE CANDIDATE SARAH STEELMAN

by Tony Lee

When Sarah Palin campaigned in Texas the Friday before Ted Cruz’s victory last Tuesday, her appearance swung the polls by 17 points in one night. Professionals said they had never seen anyone -- a politician, celebrity, or athlete -- have that much of an impact. Cruz won his victory because the Tea Party came out to support him, and these numbers showed nobody motivates Tea Party voters like Palin does.

Friday in Missouri, Palin appeared with Missouri Senate candidate Sarah Steelman at a picnic, hoping her appearance would swing the polls similarly for Steelman, who is in a three-way fight to get the Republican Senate nomination. The primary is Tuesday. The winner takes on vulnerable Democrat Claire McCaskill, who is distancing herself from President Barack Obama and her party in an effort to salvage her numbers at home. Missouri is one of the Senate seats Republicans must win to get control of the Senate.

Steelman, the former state treasurer who has often clashed with her state’s GOP establishment, is trailing John Brunner, who, like David Dewhurst in Texas, has spent nearly $10 million of his own money on the race. Steelman is within the margin of error. Rep. Todd Akin is the third candidate.

Palin, wearing a Steelman campaign t-shirt that had a “Superman” symbol on the front of it, told a crowd of over 1000 people who gathered at a blueberry farm on very short notice, that Steelman “has the backbone to stand up for what it is right and to stand up to the powers that be even” if in they in her own party and that is why the Washington establishment is scared ....

Sarah Steelman’s vote against tort reform was an extremely important vote here in Missouri and she was on the wrong side of the issue. I don't know if she is in the tank with the lawyers or not but why take a chance. Roy Blunt is a democrat light and we sure don't need another one. Todd Akin is conservative to the core and will get my vote. One man's meat is another man's poison.

“Since we’re going to get a liberal Democrat either way if Romney’s the Republican nominee, I’ll be voting for a plurality, and the only way to vote for a plurality is to vote third party. Voting for a plurality is the ONLY way I can use my vote at the top of the ticket to help the conservatives I’ll be voting for down-ticket to oppose and dominate whichever liberal wins the presidency.”

I fully concur, and plan to do the same. Although, I am pulling hard to see a conservative like Steelman elected to the Senate here in Missouri, and also to reelect the conservative House representive elected by tea party in 2010. I WILL NOT be voting for Romney. He is not remotely conservative and every bit as bad as Obama...maybe worse because he is pretending to be conservative and effectively fooling many in the GOP. Plus, he is IMPEEDING attempts to get a conservative POTUS. If he wins, then he will wreck our ability to get a real conservative in 2016 plus him being in office will cause us to lose control of the House and Senate. He is NOT going to be any better of a POTUS than the Obamination is...maybe worse in different ways.

This primary has been a disaster for those that want a conservative lead government in the POTUS. Electing a liberal in disguise (Romney) “may” give folks some momentary relief from the scary Obamination, but in the long term it will keep us from getting a real conservative in 2016. Plus, he won’t be liked by anyone (conservative or liberal) and will do damage to congressional elections. Democrats will get a resurgence from a Romney presidency.

Romney is only a short term relief that will morph into a long term disaster for conservatism.

I’m voting for Todd Akin on Tuesday. I prefer him over Steelman or Brunner.

Is he running for his House seat too, or just the Senate?

Akin is giving up his House seat. Ann Wagner is likely to win the Republican nomination on Tuesday and the election in November. It’s my district.

I love and trust Palin more than any pol - but I think Steelman has her fooled. She’s not going to get the women’s vote, and I’ll tell you why. That head of newly-dyed-blonde hair turned us off in droves. What’s she trying to prove, or attract? Her husband is a trial lawyer; thus her vote against tort reform. That tells me a lot, too.

What convinced me to vote for Todd Akin was the attack ad McCaskill runs against him, (she appears in it) saying he wants to eliminate the EPA & Dept. of Education, the forced coverage for contraceptives, etc. in Obamacare, some third point, and then gives a quote from Akin that President Obama is a danger to our country and our civilization! I guess she’s too dumb to realize what a great endorsement she gave him! I get a kick out of it every time I see it.

Brunner has a snarky look about him, sorry, especially in his latest ads. I would not want to meet that face anywhere, and I’d never vote for it.

Also for Brunner. All 3 candidates have pretty solid conservative creds. But I think Steelman isn’t quite ready for a national office.

Obama is acting almost like a dictator, after the election, ... if he wins ... which he will if we do not rally behind Romney ... we will see a radical change in Obama and he will indeed be a dictator full force.

Do not deceive yourself, he is out to destroy America and redistribute the money and have a one world government. etc.

Consider this well.

“which he will if we do not rally behind Romney”

I WILL NOT BACK ROMNEY IN ANY WAY EVER!

“... we will see a radical change in Obama and he will indeed be a dictator full force.”

Then he WILL BE the first POTUS to be both impeached and convicted and REMOVED from office. You consider this well.

You are so scared you can’t think straight. You will settle for a very short term fix...that will greatly dissappoint you....rather than go for a REAL win in 2016 with someone like Sarah Palin.

IF you don’t think that the American people and the GOP Congress will NOT stand up to Obama IF he becomes worse than he is....you are mistaken. IF you think that Romney will be an OK POTUS because the GOP congress will stand up to him....you are mistaken. Party loyalty will neuter most of them. Romney will swing left and be a horrible POTUS.

Freedomworks has also endorsed Durant as well. Durant is about as conservative as you can get, but I don’t think Palin is stepping into that one as it’s not expected to be close.

What does how she’s wearing her hair have to do with whether or not she’ll adhere to conservative principles? I would think that, of all people, conservative women wouldn’t feed into the media tendency to focus more on the makeup/hair/clothing of women, than their agenda, resume and the strength of their arguments.

Face reality. What is ... is. We must deal with what is. Sarah Palin is my choice. Michelle Bachman is an asset as well. She is smart, conservative, and wanting to keep America strong and well. Which we have allowed to be weakened and perverted in areas.

Yes, I am scared. America is on the brink of no return and It is fact. We have and are cutting our defenses, armaments, coddling all those of foreign nations that are invading our nation. Letting them get by with all sorts of crimes and allowing them to walk. Speeding, drunken or drugged driving, fighting, etc. Supporting their credit to buy a home, etc. when they do not have employment that will make the payments. On and on the list goes. We are facing becoming a third world country right before our eyes in the nest 4 years. We have such debt that our money is becoming of little value.

God help us. We desperately need to support out leaders that see this reality and will do something to stop this travesty. NOW! PRAY for God to have mercy and forgive our sins and let us turn back to God's way, and God's instructions .... NOW! Thank Thee LORD for the multiple blessing showered upon those that seek to know Thee and love Thee, in Jesus name amen.

To assume, because America has been the land of opportunity, liberty, freedom of choice, and success in the face of disaster is extremely stupid, at this stage of the game.

We have to change our current status ASAP!

It takes strength of character, willingness to accept attacks, and determination to return America to a sound footing, which is crumbling beneath, us because of failure to hold to our Laws and foundations. Etc.

God Bless.
