Friday in Missouri, Palin appeared with Missouri Senate candidate Sarah Steelman at a picnic, hoping her appearance would swing the polls similarly for Steelman, who is in a three-way fight to get the Republican Senate nomination. The primary is Tuesday. The winner takes on vulnerable Democrat Claire McCaskill, who is distancing herself from President Barack Obama and her party in an effort to salvage her numbers at home. Missouri is one of the Senate seats Republicans must win to get control of the Senate.
Steelman, the former state treasurer who has often clashed with her states GOP establishment, is trailing John Brunner, who, like David Dewhurst in Texas, has spent nearly $10 million of his own money on the race. Steelman is within the margin of error. Rep. Todd Akin is the third candidate.
Palin, wearing a Steelman campaign t-shirt that had a Superman symbol on the front of it, told a crowd of over 1000 people who gathered at a blueberry farm on very short notice, that Steelman has the backbone to stand up for what it is right and to stand up to the powers that be even if in they in her own party and that is why the Washington establishment is scared ....

It disappoints me that Sarah is supporting a professional politician.
Should she be supporting Brunner who threw her under the bus during the Arizona shooting, buying into the narrative that Palin’s target map was somehow responsible... Please!
It’s just too bad Palin didn’t run for Prez. She sure would have got my vote.
blessings, bobo
I can’t find if Palin endorsed anyone for the GOP nomination for U.S.Senate from Michigan. The primary vote is Tuesday, and it appears to have narrowed down to Hoekstra and Durant.
Hoekstra claims endorsements from Santorum and Romney, but the Tea Party Express just endorsed Durant. Anyone know something I don’t?
Can Brunner beat McCaskill?
All the “experts” convinced Sarah that her negatives were too high. She could have blown away the field, but she did not want to be the one to lose to O in November.
The “experts” (Rove, Krystal, Jeb, et al) can all rot in Hell.
Can Brunner beat McCaskill?
Same here. Thanks for the ping!
She will save the party and help elect many pubbies to both the House and the Senate and even pull Mitt across the finish line. She and Marco are the future!!!
“Palin said to look carefully at a candidates record and not just their rhetoric because the vote is a sacred trust and warned Missouri voters of candidates who have armies of D.C. consultants who infiltrate Missouri and ply them into something of their liking.”
I’m glad Sarah stopped by Missouri. That is where I currently reside and will vote. Getting rid of McCaskil has been a TOP priority for me. I have seen a lot of negative ads about “Steelman” and I’m glad Sarah has helped to bring clarity to the situation. I will be voting for Steelman because of the Palin endorsement.
Todd Palin is one of the luckiest people on Earth!
“Steelman, the former state treasurer who has often clashed with her states GOP establishment”
Sounds good to me. GO SARAH GO!
I don't know much about Steelman and I vote in Pennsylvania, so I'll defer to others. Palin's remarks indicate she sees Steelman as a thorn in the side of the GOPe(i.e."professional politicians").
" ...Steelman has the backbone to stand up for what it is right and to stand up to the powers that be even if they are in her own party and that is why the Washington establishment is scared of her.
Palin said Steelman represents results over rhetoric, convictions over consultants, and Missouri over Washington. Palin said other candidates in the race were vague about their intentions while Steelman has laid out detailed plans about programs she wanted to cut and get rid of once she gets to the Senate and has a proven record of fiscal conservatism and supporting pro-life causes."
Sarah Palin was the ONLY reason that the McCain candidacy stood a chance in 2008!While I will respect his service to our country(as a Navy pilot),he is an UTTER DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
... which is exactly why I'll be voting for a plurality if Romney ends up the Republican nominee. I have looked carefully at Romney's RECORD, and it is 100% in line with that of any liberal Democrat. The last time a liberal Democrat president won on a plurality, he was impeached. The time before when a president was elected on a plurality, he was hammered by the Republican Revolution and forced to move right.
Since we're going to get a liberal Democrat either way if Romney's the Republican nominee, I'll be voting for a plurality, and the only way to vote for a plurality is to vote third party. Voting for a plurality is the ONLY way I can use my vote at the top of the ticket to help the conservatives I'll be voting for down-ticket to oppose and dominate whichever liberal wins the presidency.
