Yesterday, we reported on the Chick-fil-A controversy that has been brewing across the country. Well, it looks like this story's heating up a bit.
As the mayors of Boston, Chicago and San Fran all demanded for the organization to get the hell out of Dodge, our urban boss, Mr. Michael R. Bloomberg, took the side of the fast-food chain that echoes its $2 million worth of donations to anti-same-sex-marriage groups. He argued that the government has no right to tell a business what to believe or interfere with its enterprise based on ideological judgment.
Enter City Council Speaker Christine Quinn. The future mayoral candidate drew her line of opposition to the chicken sandwich purveyor, stating, "Chick-fil-A is not welcome in New York City as long as the company's president welcomes continues to uphold and promote his discriminatory views."

It sounds like a chicken sandwich might have made one of Christine’s girlfriends cry.
And all the stupid hispanics and blacks will continue to support this person because she is a rat and they are a bunch of ignorant, under-educated, well-fare cases. What a disgrace.

Before someone (a Lib lurker) thinks your comments are ‘racist’, you are an Hispanic yourself, correct? You were just distinguishing between stupid (government-dependent, freeloading) Hispanics and smart (self-reliant, conservative) Hispanics.
Yes I am. And I am ashamed that many Hispanics are a bunch of bums. It is actually the children of the immigrants that are useless.
Really sad to see. And in the bigger cities, they are kept stupid by the horrible education system. It is painful to see all these kids amount to nothing, despite living in a country where hard word still gets you somewhere. It’s like they are wasting a golden opportunity to better themselves, and they blame everyone but themselves.
“Chick-fil-A is not welcome in New York city....”
Just one more example of the extreme arrogance of the politicians here. Hey I welcome Chick-fil-A here you effin’ dyke! Don’t speak for me you taco munching teet sucker as if I gotta be into sodomy or else! We got the despot Mayor and the mini-despots like Quinn here to fill in whe the main despot doesn’t want to appear to despotic. I cannot WAIT to move out of this hellhole.
I wonder how many jobs are involved if Chick-Fil-A were to pull out not to mention taxes paid to NYC.
Very well put. I agree with every word of it. If one really cares about these folks, they wouldn't prolong their condition by encouraging them to rely on government programs for everything. Where's the incentive to even go out to look for work when you can get free food, free apt, free cash, free phone, free this and that, and still be able to hang out and get drunk and/or high.
I live as far way from NYC as one can get within the continental U.S., and I consider it a blessing.
Another liberal, Democrat fascist attempting to use the power of their office to avoid the constitution and punish or reward constituencies they favor.
What’s worse, the GOP wimps in Congress refuse to fight 0 on all the damn changes to welfare that he “snuck” past legislative oversight. That moron Bohner needs to go. No balls, no leadership, no principle.
I only know of 1 in Manhattan. Its literally inside NYU so i doubt they will stay there anyway.

The city will soon be begging flea markets to set up shop there; it is a horrible environment in which to do business, and they are paying a price. One of the overlooked aspects of 9/11 was the number of vacancies in the World Trade Center, which undoubtedly contributed to allowing many people to escape on the stairways as the buildings burned; the city had been bleeding jobs for years, and continues to do so. When Governor Christie in NJ nixed the construction of a third railway tunnel under the Hudson River, all the unions could complain about was that “someone might want to see a Broadway show”; they didn’t even mention rush hour or commuters...
