Went to my local Chick-Fil-A here in Maryland(the Blue Liberal Bathtub) at Noon today and the store was already packed with customers just before Noon time today!
The other location near Waldorf Maryland was just as busy from what I have been told. Today in my opinion was the successful defense of free speech as well as free will as I have the right to spend my money when and where I want, when a business shares my believes.
*Twilight theme plays* That’s the one I went to, cause it’s just a few minutes from my house! I was there at around 2pm. You?
*Twilight Zone theme* FR REALLY needs an edit feature...
Hi, yourself! Glad you had a good CFA Appreciation Day.
Avoiding the inevitable crowds, I ordered from the CFA website in the morning — a couple of toy stuffed cows, some “Eat Mor Chikn” refrigerator magnets, and a couple of mugs.
I went to CFA at 9:15 at night for dessert. Even though our branch closes at 10 pm, the store still contained 50 people seated and about 15 in line, and a line of 20 cars outside. Everyone was being super polite, like at Christmas time. Had a nice peach shake.
Unlike many of the Europeancentric photos posted earlier today, the crowd was about half blacks (our area is about 2/3 white and 1/3 black). Lots of families with children having some nice snacks before bedtime.
I went to a CFA in a predominately black/hispanic neighborhood in LA and there was literally a 1/2 mile procession of cars trying to get into the parking lot. It was about an hour wait to get in and everyone was in a celebratory mood. No protesters visible. If they had shown up, I’m sure they would have gotten a pretty good dose of Old Time Religion and gospel preaching from the customers.
CFA has brought a lot of good people together just by standing up against the liberal zeitgeist.
you’re right johnny. it’s kind of like hearing the music from Rocky isn’t it?
I called in to the only store in WI(I’m six hours away) and gave them my Visa number to buy about ten lunches for some regular military patrons.
We don’t have a local CFA in my city here in Ohio, but, I did watch NBC after the Olympics and they did a report on the lines and traffic at several CFA’s across the city of Columbus. Same report - then they too interviewed a couple of protestors who yelled “hate speech” at the owners of CFA. Yawn! I guess this is their attempt to be “fair and balanced.” Snorkle, snorkle.
I went to CfA in Germantown Maryland (drove up from work near Shady Grove) today for lunch at around 11 AM. The drive through was already swamped, even that early. There were two queues forming to go through the single drive-through line. Looked inside the restaurant and it was already in sardine-can mode with more and more people streaming in.
Went to CfA in Laurel Maryland for a shake after going to the gym (no, I don’t normally do that, but today is CfA day, after all). 8 PM. There was, even at that late hour, a drive thru queue that went 1-1/2 times around the building. The inside of the restaurant was pretty full, as well (looked like about 4-6 people deep at the registers). In chatting with the gal at the drive thru, it was obvious they were slammed all day (she was so tired, she asked if I wanted any catsup with my shake).
Forest Hill was packed too!!
I went to the Chick-Fil-A on Route 40 in Elkton, MD around 6 PM. The place was jammed with hundreds of customers! The line to get into the store extended down through the parking lot. Cars waiting for the Drive-Thru were lined up through the parking lot, and out onto the shoulder of the road. It was about a 45 minute wait from the time you got in line until you received your food, but nobody cared - there was a festive mood about the place.
I watched some news clips of the event on liberal local TV stations (CBS/NBC)...they at least reported the conservative/FRee Speech side, which was surprising. I'd expected one teeny, tiny blip we wouldn't have recognized.
Here is one piece from the NBC4 article that I think people in DC, Boston, & Chicago should really pay attention to:
Youre not allowed to go out and impose your political views on companies on the left or the right, and we cant discriminate against a company because of their political beliefs of their executives or their employees, (Loudoun County Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio)
We need to pay attention to how the government (and liberal left) blackmails us into doing their will.
p.s.
I was so proud yesterday of my fellow Marylanders for standing up against those who try to squash our voice and run roughshod over our beliefs. It was kind of awe inspiring from a bluer-than-BLUE state.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
I went to Lexington Park (Hollywood) at noon.
Waldorf’s CFA on Rt. 301 was packed at 11:15 am — I got through the drive-thru within 10 minutes with 3 lunch meals.
Great stuff.
The Cecil County Patriots were there with a good number of signs for Harris and Bongino! Lots of thumbs up for them.
Downtown Silver Spring out the door at noon. Must be due to shark week at the Discovery Channel.
In Salisbury... rt. 13 north CFA had a double ring of vehicles in its drive thru... was called by a friend who saw me drive up... he said he was in the outer loop of the drive thru and the inside was packed.
I remembered the CFA in the mall across the highway and went there... 4 lines of 20 people deep, the people behind the counter were jumping... but still friendly and courteous... took about 10 minutes in line to order and 5 min to get it... the peach shake was killer...
i will return every wednesday... as a catholic, fish on friday, chick-fil-a on wednesdays...
amen

Went to the Owings Mills location around 1pm. The line of cars to the mall (and mostly extending into chickfila) was out to the road; I had to wait a light cycle to get in. I decided to park away from chickfila to avoid the mess. Fairly chaotic. Ordered in 10 minutes, took 10 minutes to get the order. As I waited the line grew and was wrapping around the restaurant. Everyone was happy, the police came in to look around and were smiling. There were people of all ages there, those in pastor shirts. It was so busy I was ready to split with my order.
The Joppa Road location was also packed. :)
I went to the Dobbin Center CFA in Columbia around 2pm and the line to the drive in was wrapped around the building as far as it could go. Due to the parking lot and access constraints this CFA always seems pretty full around lunch time, but it was even more packed than usual at that tweener time between lunch and dinner.
