(CNSNews.com) The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) announced at the National Press Club on Tuesday that the grassroots group - comprised of the more than 3,000 members - is a launching a national campaign to support marriage between one man and one woman and to oppose the Obama administrations efforts to advance same-sex marriage.
The time has come for a broad-based assault against the power that be that wants to change our culture to one of men marrying men and women marrying women, CAAP President William Owens said at the press conference, held to announce the Marriage Mandate campaign, which includes a petition seeking 100,000 signatures pledging support for traditional marriage.
Mr. President, Im not going to stand with you, and there are thousands of others across this country that are not going to stand with you with this foolishness, Owens said.
In a press release announcing the campaign, Owens encouraged black pastors and the black community to withdraw their support for [Obama].

This is why Obama had to suddenly be found to have the 1st American slave as his ancestor - even if it was thru the Dunhams - and even if there was no actual proof. They are hearing feedback from the “community” that Barry O’s “authenticity” may be a little tarnished.
I'll believe this when I see it.
Bring it come November.
It’s so tough for Residents. Sniff, sniff...
They won't stand with him on that solitary issue, or they won't stand with him on election day? I find very hard to believe, especially after some chastising by the national race pimps, they won't ultimately support Obama at the polls.
I’ll believe it when I see the votes...otherwise, hogwash!
Right.
This coming from the demographic with at least a 70 percent illegitimacy rate...
We don’t do it ourselves but we damn sure will stand in the way of gays if they want to do it.
Hypocrisy is just as bad as the notion of gay marriage.
“We will not stand with you”—— ‘on this one issue. But we like your other stuff, so we’ll still vote for you!”
The Black Pastors are obviously racist.
They might not “stand” with Obama, but I bet they will still vote for his sorry a##.
I pray they’ll hold to traditional Christian values and vote Nobama out of office! Our votes here are only earthly treasures—our souls are eternal treasures!
These men are sticking their necks out in favor of Godly principle. Why don’t we encourage them? The last thing they need are smart-alecky responses from Freepers.
When you are a lib you have to be flexible when it come to your priniples? Take comfort becuase you get “free” stuff in the exchange.
The pastors may not vote for him, and maybe some of their church may not vote for him, but the majority of black losers have no connections with any church. They just want the freebees.
Hey, I’ll take any help we can get. I hope these guys prevail.
