Dallas-area fans of Chick-fil-A showed up in droves at the fast-food restaurant today to show their support for the chains stance on marriage.
I was drawn to Chick-fil-A this morning not only because it is Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, but because the company supports the biblical definition of marriage, said Richard Norris, a first-time Chick-fil-A customer visiting the Preston Road location. Theyve always stood for good Christian values.
Norris was among thousands of customers who ate mor chikin today, lining up to heed the call of conservative pundits who stood behind the Atlanta-based companys leader. Lines of cars snaked around the block in Upper Greenville, and in the underground location downtown there was extra security and a two-hour wait to order.
A torrent of criticism from the gay community was unleashed last month after Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that the Atlanta-based company was guilty as charged for backing the biblical definition of a family.
Customers at Dallas Chick-fil-A restaurants had no criticism for Cathy on Wednesday.
Frederic Martin planned to eat all three meals at Chick-fil-A as to statement for Christian values. With each bite of his oatmeal and yogurt parfait, chicken sandwich and chicken-fruit salad, he says he is taking a stand against the people who want to utterly destroy the Judeo-Christian values this country is built upon.
People who are boycotting Chick-fil-A are full of hatred against the God they do not know and against the Constitution they have not read, the 66-year-old said.
Radio host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee declared Wednesday national Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, and more than 600,000 people declared their intentions to participate on the Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/events/266281243473841/) set up by the one-time presidential candidate and Baptist minister.

This may be the most ironic thing I post today:

Currently at CFA in Austin, TX. Here to express my support of the 1st amendment. Drive thru is backed up to the highway. There is a line inside twisting around to the back of the place then around to the counter. The mood is festive. People excitedly chattering away. The most “negative” thing I’ve heard was two men talking about the politicians and saying “those mother@$!&$s don’t speak for me.”
Everyone needs to come have lunch.
Though the next thing that Mr. Cathy needs to support is an educational fund for the cattle that do his advertising. Those bovine are barely literate. It’s very sad.
“One man and his wife, he looked like Alice Cooper, wife took a picture of him “
Maybe that was Alice Cooper. I read that he lives near Phoenix/Scottsdale, he is conservative, and he was a friend of Barry Goldwater.
My local, small-town GA CFA has been packed to the rafters since they opened this morning! 45 minute wait and one of the managers said that every employee on their payroll was working open to close today. The crowd was friendly and cheerful. Many comments were heard throughout the crowd about how bad Zero was going down if the turnout on Nov 6th was anywhere close to what CFA was getting today.
One of the local McDs and the local KFC had their billboards posting We agree with Don Cathey and C-F-A Appreciation Day on them. Amazing that even CFAs competitors were supporting them.....
I knew I could not get to the Chick-fil-A today but I did go yesterday......I went to the the filet on Inwood near Forest......that place is always rocking !!!!!
So awesome. Where is that?
Went to the Roseville California!!!! Chick-Fil-A and couldn’t get into the parking lot. Cars were backed-up on Pleasant Grove Blvd. People milling around in parking lot!
The is California folks!!!
dont know where that was ...found it online.
i saw several people today in uniform while I was there.

You can expect the MSM to ignore anything about free speech and stuff.
That's going to stick in the state-run media's craw - they'll never accept it. So they'll pretend it didn't happen.
3, 2, 1 until homosexuals claim they tried their ‘kiss in’ today and were called ‘faggot, queer’ etc...
The is California folks!!!
And if Roseville weren't so darned far from the south end of the Bay Area, there would have been one more person there — me. :=)
C'mon, Chick-Fil-A. Get that new San Jose store open!!!
wow! any pics?
We need more companies to speak out against the faggit minority.
KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING ALL THE WAY TO NOVEMBER!
the Rats may have made a move that will prove fatal in the elections.
Later on, I ran into a good friend of mine. This guy almost never eats out. I always kid him about being too cheap. Anyway, there he was with a takeout from CFA in his hand. I knew there was a reason why he's my friend.
BTW, seeing me with a cane, the counter person brought my order to my table for me. Try getting that service at McDonalds.
