HOENIX (AP) Seven people have died in a crash on Interstate 10 near Phoenix after a semitrailer truck crossed the highway's median and struck a van head on.
Carrick Cook, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, says the victims were all inside the van when the crash happened Sunday about 60 miles west of Phoenix.

It should say Phoenix in the location. The P got deleted some how. Noticed it, just as I hit post.
How much you wanna bet one of these vehicles was full of undocumented Democrats.
Had you heard this?
how do you figure?
Tragic. Exactlly how one of my good friends and his teenage son were killed 15 years ago.
Thought too; probably not too different; perhaps; than 'Buford Hwy' area of I 85. . .count on a slowdown; if traveling through.
Sad thing; is how our cities are changing; morphing by population into 'landscapes' so different; than those of past; and so different, from what once envisioned. Of course; 'who knew'?
Am speaking to a poverty of culture and circumstance; with little of the 'higher economic' link; in evidence. Like watching a 'slow death'; in some places.
(Note to Obama; wealth does not travel 'up'; it trickles down; and you know it.) And there is a 'reason' for moral laws. . .and yes; we are to 'love our neighbor'; just not more than - or less than - ourselves.)
oops; ‘Buford Hwy’ area of I 85. . and that would be ‘Atlanta’. . .
There is a shuttle van service between Sky Harbor Airport and Tucson. Could be one of those.
Wrong side of town. This sounds a ways West, like around Tonapah.
I lived in the Phoenix area for over 40 years before moving to Florida last year. The accident occurred on I-10, 60 miles WEST of Phoenix. Tucson is 100 miles SOUTH of Phoenix. So your speculation is incorrect.
I-10 is a double lane divided interstate highway. How did a semi-tractor trailer cross the wide no-man’s-land median between the divided highways? There needs to be more details reported before we know who the occupants of the van were and how the accident actually occurred.
Don’t like seeing these sort of headlines. I have family vacationing in AZ.
Vehicles cross the median on split interstate highways quite often. (Bad driving conditions, drivers falling asleep, etc)
Here in Iowa they’ve started erecting cable “catch” fences in the median. In just one year they have seen a dramatic reduction in fatalities.
I wonder if this happened in the left lane. It’s the one your most likely to run head on in to someone going the wrong way.
This truck, would likely be in the left lane because to the driver of the truck. he was in the right hand lane where the slower traffic belongs.
Here is a story with photos..
from the story it looks to have happened in Sheriff Joe’s county.

I just drove that route today, passed through there about 0930 or so on my way to Los Angeles. There but by the grace of God go I.
A few years back I was on that road and I watched a semi, for no apparent reason, swerve across the lanes and into the center divider. My guess is the driver fell asleep.
Used to have these type of accidents here in Jersey on
I 78 and I 80
Trucks would lose it cross medians into opposite lane
Last few years installed guard rails in median to stop this
Massacre is Phoenix.
Assault vehicles used in bloodbath.
