I just drove that route today, passed through there about 0930 or so on my way to Los Angeles. There but by the grace of God go I.

A few years back I was on that road and I watched a semi, for no apparent reason, swerve across the lanes and into the center divider. My guess is the driver fell asleep.

If I remember right that's a long stretch of straight road out in the desert.
