Liberal fascism, anyone? Add Barney Frank to the list of Thomas Friedman and Ray LaHood who regret that in the United States, that darn Constitution gets in the way of the enlightened class imposing its will on the rest of us benighted peons.
Sparring with Mario Bartiromo on CNBC this afternoon, Dem congressman Frank, expressing frustration at his inability to get through legislation he favors, lamented: "unfortunately, under this American system of government, you have these checks and balances." Yeah, so unfortunate. If only Barney could be king for a day.

Barney Frank frustrated by constitutional checks and balances. Liberal fascism ping to Today show list.
Unfortunately?
OMG,the horror of it all. We actually have checks and balances in the US Constitution.
My evening is ruined.
Somewhere, James Madison is smiling.
Maybe Franks can tell us all the wonderful countries where dear leaders dont have to worry about moving slowly... North Korean leaders can move FAST. So can Chinese leaders... Iranian leaders... so many ... Too bad life is hell on earth for the people in those places.
Nope! there's only 100’s of visual records that tie the problem to the crisis......Geez!
The purpose of the constitution is to protect the people from the government, such as this Frank-enstein.
“Maybe Franks can tell us all the wonderful countries where dear leaders dont have to worry about moving slowly... North Korean leaders can move FAST. So can Chinese leaders... Iranian leaders... so many ... Too bad life is hell on earth for the people in those places.”
Yes. But they just didn’t do it right. If barney got to be the “Kim”, things would be almost perfect.
LOL - great reply.
When I was a kid I believed in Plato's concept of Philosopher Kings - rulers of a Utopian Kallipolis... Then I grew up, looked around and realized that self appointed 'elites' do a horrible job governing and usually start to spend most of their 'wisdom' feathering their own nests... It doesn't work in the real world. This is NOT to be confuse with real Kings and Queens - which does seem to work sometimes..
But back to Barney Frank - he's already proven that he uses his power to help himself and his friends - and that he justifies it by 'helping the poor' with ZERO insight into if he's helping them or just securing the benefits of 'the broken and dependent' voting democrat...
