Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, a rising star in the party and a potential vice-presidential pick for Mitt Romney, said this morning that he disagreed with Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann’s baseless call to investigate Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the U.S. government.

So is anyone even considering the questioning of whatever governmental organization did her background investigation? All I hear are attacks on Bachmann. This shouldn't be about who asked the question, it should be about who is responsible for answering the question. Good grief, now our representatives can't even ask a simple question without being pilloried. The world seems upside down to me.

Marco needs to read the truth about McCarthy. If he isn’t already aware of the truth about him, he doesn’t belong in the US Senate. Are our kids going to be told in 50 years that Bachmann was right?

Just a general comment for all the ABO apologists on FR...

THIS is why you do not abandon your principles as a conservative. THIS is what it gets you when you vote for a ‘placeholder’ until the non-existant ‘someone better’ comes along.

When you elect people opposed to your beliefs, THIS is what happens. And if/when the Muslims manage another 9-11, it will be because these ‘non principled’ people allowed it through their moderation and willingness to cast aside principle for political expedience.

I was one of those who supported Rubio from the day he announced. Realistically, what was our other choice, Crist?

I have since left supporting Rubio in any way when he somewhat supported the Obama move on amnesty and totally disregarded the illegal nature in which the Executive Order violated his oath as he has done on other issues like DOMA.
