SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Some of the loudest cheers at San Diego's gay pride parade were for active-duty troops marching in military dress.

Saturday's celebration marks the first time U.S. service members are participating in a gay pride event while decked out in full uniform.

“Commander Kent Blade, who will retire this fall after 26 years in the Navy, said being able to march in uniform was a perfect culmination of his career.

The Defense Department said it was making the allowance for the San Diego parade because organizers had encouraged military personnel to march in their uniform and the event was getting national attention.”

Bless our Government's little heart. And bless Commander Blade, who is so very happy and proud that now the nation knows where he puts his thingie.

I'm sure the Chinese are so impressed and so fearful of the US now that we allow our Troopers to march in Gay Pride Parades. How Cool is That???

PC run amok...I retired shortly after it really started getting rolling in the DoD.

The private sector isn’t much better, especially if you work for a larger or Fortune 500 company.

“D@#$%#@%y” is the cause du jour and will normally trump all else.

I wonder what doors to activity within political events this will open? Queers on parade is nothing more than an advocacy issue. So it follows that advocacy of other issues while in uniform should be permitted as well.

Then again, I’ve always favored not being allowed to participate in these types of events while in uniform. It doesn’t promote good order and discipline.

Gay and Lesbos are such militants—pun intended. They can’t seem to keep their sexual habits behind closed doors. No one is stopping them from being in the military if thats what they want to do. Problem is their gay/lesbo perverted illness will not allow them to be simply quiet and private about their sexuality but they make society take notice and force others to ‘celebrate in their perversions’ because they need approval from a seared inner guilty conscience. Therein lies the problem with being gay perverted-not being able to draw healthy boundaries. Sin is sin and has its consequences.

Hold fast to the Lord and His Word. Pride and corruption may last for a season but its not worthy of eternity. We never lose in the big picture by trusting in the Lord and Praising His Holy Name no matter the evil tides around us.

So I gather this is how they marched last year, using Tee shirt logos to signify their military status. I hope they are a bit more restrained in their full uniforms. I know the thread was fine without pictures, but I felt compelled to post these as they already seem to show some sort of disrespectful arrogance - as if the military is more of a feather in their cap as Pride participants than anything else. I am wondering what today's pics will look like, with marchers in full uniform...
