I’ve been putting off buying a gun. I live in a right to carry state. Any suggestions? I’m thinking a 7mm Glock? And you’ll be damn sure I’ll learn how to use it.

Procrastination is a bad thing- quit putting it off. I suggest doing a lot of research, budgeting, and some introspection- firearms are not toys, nor are they absolute power incarnate. They are tools, like shovels or hammers. Unlike those tools, you have to devote considerable thought to their use- firearms are specialized tools, and do not all have the same capabilities. That’s what the research is for. And if you are starting out at scratch, knowing nothing of guns, take a gun safety class first. Its a good first step.
YouTube. Start learning there. There's enough diversity of opinion and experience there that the blowhards will quickly become obvious to you.

I don’t think there is a “7mm” Glock. You perhaps mean a Glock that is chambered in 9mm.
If you search at Youtube as one Freeper indicated, the number 1 gun channel there is “Nutnfancy”. There are some other good presenters as well.......”Sootch00” and “Hickok45”. You should find more than enough info there for advice.
Well I cannot (and will not) give you any personnel suggestions on what to buy and or carry but get something big enough to do what is necessary and spend enough time at the range to be VERY comfortable with it. Be sure your are ready to take someones life with it is necessary because “when the hammer drops the B/S stops”. I have been there and done that to quote the saw and it is not easy. But to quote some one whom I have forgotten right now. “FREEDOM is NEVER FREE”!
Glocks don’t come in 7mm.
Check the “banglist” keyword here on FR. But don’t ask them if you should buy a 7mm Glock. They’ll laugh you off the page.
