You ignorant sack o' Kenyan monkey shit, the Internet was originally ARPANET created by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), for developing a means of communications in a post-nuclear strike world (among other purposes). The government didn't invent the Internet so "companies could make money".
