I sincerely hope the word “greatest” refers to full metal jacket?

Given that people can make AK-47 clones in the Pakistani Tribal Areas under Third World conditions, what level of stupidity does it take to assume that any “small arms” embargo can work against a country?

Romney could score alot of points with conservatives/gun owners/sane individuals if he got the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.
Romney could do A LOT of things that would make him an instant HERO.
Why do I fear he will not...?

Patrick Henry argued (paraphrasing); if they control the purse (they, meaning the government and they have controlled the purse since 1913) and we have no firearms and they exact tyranny upon us, what shall we do, just tell them to stop???

"Let there be no confusion. Any treaty that includes civilian firearms ownership in its scope will be met with the NRAs greatest force of opposition."This is where Wayne needed a Charlton Heston moment:
"Let there be no confusion. The American Revolution began with the famous "Shot heard 'round the World" when a very unpopluar government attempted to disarm the American Colonists. Any treaty that includes civilian firearms ownership in its scope that results in the attempt, overtly or inadvertantly, to in any way infringe upon the Second Amendment Right of the American people will be met with the same result experienced by the soldiers of King George III on April 19, 1775."

Let there be no confusion. Any treaty that includes civilian firearms ownership in its scope will be met with the NRAs greatest force of opposition. Weasel word alert! Americans must have access to assault weapons, .50 cal, whatever it takes to stop a tyrannical assault we must have. This isn't about home defense weapons Mr. LaPierre, it is about a national militia consisting of every able-bodied person, and then some.

Any Arms Trade Treaty must be adopted by two-thirds of the U.S. Senate, which has 100 members.I simply can't believe he doesn't know better!
@ PROCEEDINGS AND DEBATES OF THE 106th CONGRESS, SECOND SESSION
S10667
The PRESIDING OFFICER. A division has been requested.
Senators in favor of the ratification of this treaty, please raise their hand. (After a pause.) Those opposed will raise their hands.
With two-thirds of the Senators present having voted in the affirmative, the resolution of ratification is agreed to.
Mr. THOMAS. I thank the Presiding Officer, the Senator from West Virginia, and the clerk.
By the way, just for information, these treaties were all approved by the Foreign Relations Committee on October 4 and 5.
2/3 of Congress wasn't there. Those present voted for the ratification. The quorum call was rescinded with no objection.
He better figure it out PDQ or he's going to suffer a serious let down.

Admiral Yamamoto of Japan, in WWII knew that the Japanese could not invade America because he said something to the effect that behind every tree was an American with a gun. Our enemies know that we too are still armed and we can fight back and not be a pasty for them. The UN cannot put their one world government in place until the USA has come under their control. That means no guns in private hands. The day the world is allowed to tell this Republic what too do and our government starts taking up all guns, is the day this Republic dies, or a massive civil war breaks out and the Obamanation’s private army starts house by house, according to registration records, to hit us one by one and take our guns by force. They will tear our homes apart stick by stick until they are satisfied they have them all. Then walk away laughing and leaving your property destroyed and you in jail for not turning them in when you were ordered to do so. Only disarmed will America finally fall.

He doesn’t need to fight the UN. Ignore them. Ignore anything they say or command. Their rules have no force of law here.
If ANY government- ours or theirs - tries to disarm the citizenry, we will be fools to comply.
Simply say NO to any more gun laws of any kind.
Were I to have any weapons that are deemed at some time in the future to be illegal to have in my possession, I will simply ignore any such law as it is against my GOD GIVEN rights, which also just happen to be spelled out in the U.S. constitution.
At some point REAL MEN have to say “No, I will not submit”.
Period. No begging, no pleading, no deal-making.
I will not submit.

Why is he appealing to the United Nations? Isn’t that lending credibility to this absurdity. What do they care about the 2nd Amendment. Doesn’t that only apply to citizens of the US? Why would China or Russia want to uphold our right to bear arms? Am I missing somethng here?
