“What are the odds that this tready actually get ratified?”

It’s pretty high stakes for the antis, so there will be lots of pressure, threats, money, tricks involved to make it happen.

I suspect the treaty will be as effective as the ones banning traffic in heroin and cannabis, but it will do wonders for dictators. It will be hard for good guys to arm up and easy for government-based oppressors (which just might be the goal considering that Iran is leading the effort).

Well..., what were the odds we’d sign off on international bodies that would make decisions on our behalf, only the U. S. Congress was authorized to make? GATT, NAFTA, the WTO, and the ICC come to mind.

Unfortunately we have a long tradition of nullifying parts of our Constitution, so I’m not making any rosy predictions concerning this treaty.

Is our president protecting the states from invasion. Is posse comitatus invalidated by the direction that an army division will be assigned to operate on United States soil?

Is our federal government permitted to create a federal police force?

If they want to, our leaders will find a way to bend us over and their way with us.

“I don’t know what all is involved,”

Oabama sings it then the Senate forms at least 51 members and at least 2/3rds , 34 total, must agree to it. Of course, the Senate has been known to break their 51 member quorum rule. I suspect Obama wouldn’t sign it unless he had a means to get Senate approval.

About as bad as actually having a President in the White House whose birth place we never knew, by-passes Congess and threatens the SCOTUS to get things moved forward.

I would like to be able to say that the odds of it being ratified are slim to none. But, upon seeing how far down we have sunk as a nation, I can't. As early as ten years ago, this "treaty" would have not even been considered, let alone signed by the occupier of the White House. Again, less than ten years ago, the majority of voters would never have elected what they did to occupy the White House. They would have never stood for a law, under the guise of "healthcare" that will up taking everything not only they have, but, their children and grandchildren also. Time and space will not permit which have been foisted upon what are now the American people without any serious objections from them.

After seeing all this happen and knowing how devious Harry Reid and the Democrat Party is, I would have to say that the odds of it being ratified are good. Too good for me but I don't like much of what is happening politically and socially in the U.S. today.

But on the bright side you can always tell yourself what most people I talked to about what was happening told me, "They can't do that!"
