IDEA FOR ROMNEY CAMPAIGN
Does a slow drip of negative news regarding ObamaCare change anybody's mind enough to change their vote? MAYBE, IF IT AFFECTS THEM BAD ENOUGH
I went into a pain management center this morning hoping to be placed on disability due to my lower back pain, so I could collect disability from the government... Not really... I'm self employed, white, never been a union worker or employed by the government, so I likely could not qualify. But I really did see a pain specialist for my lower back problem... like I said, I am self employed, so I'm on my own baby.
I found it interesting, the Dr. and I bandied around small talk for just a few minutes, sharing background stories, when the conversation turned toward real estate then toward ObamaCare. He voiced concern that he didn'nt know if he would be able to continue practice once it was in full swing due to regulation and likely a gutting of his pay. He then said, "did you know that if you sell a house after 2013 or 14, obamacare contains a new tax that will tax the sale of the house 3.5%". I said, "NO WAY!". He told me, "it's in there".
I've heard about a lot of stuff about ObamaCare, but never this one. He said, "you think real estate is bad now, wait till that new tax kicks in"
Here's an (novel) idea from a common citizen... HEY ROMNEY CAMPAIGN!!! start a website, daily cataloguing the different things in ObamCare that will negatively impact all the different industries we commoners work at... tell how and why it will negatively impact us, then pose some such question "Whey the hell would they want to do THAT and why didn't Obama tell you THAT in the beginning?!?!?"
Only on certain capital gains.
I will add one thing. The author of the article to which I linked is basically saying, “the tax is ok because it probably won’t affect you”.
That kind of thinking by the electorate is what has put us where we are today.
So the use of the word “only” mitigates any negative affects? And!!! AND!!! that was an example... surely there are many “only” mores...

First, they taxed the rich.
But I didn’t care, because I wasn’t rich.
Then they taxed the investors.
But I didn’t invest, so it didn’t bother me.
Then they taxed the Gas guzzler.
But I didn’t own a gas guzzler, so I wasn’t worried.
Then they taxed the homeowners.
But I rented so, it wasn’t a problem.
Then they taxed the Middle classes.
But I came from poor country folk, so I wasn’t included.
Then they taxed the gun owners.
But I didn’t own a gun, so I wasn’t bothered.
Then they taxed the poor.
I was the only one left, with no one to help............
Anyone care to add to this little paraphrased poem?..........
Well, there goes another industry down the tubes. I also read that, in addition to the 3.8% tax, there is a requirement that the seller must make the house energy compliant before the feds will give permission to sell the house.
“its passing”, unless you mean “it is passing”. Why do people have such problems with apostrophes???
The entire problem with getting this type of thing to register is that it requires functioning neurons on the part(s) of the recipients to intake, then process. This is an unlikely phenomenon in the realm of bumper-stickerism. I don’t know how to penetrate this revulsion to cognizance, but surprisingly, it’s not only present in patently dumb people. What’s remarkable, to me at least, is the concurrence of people allegedly at the highest levels of our esteemed educational institutions with ghetto-grade ferals. Both of these groups agree on almost everything! How did/does that happen?
Detailed examples from the Natl Assoc Realtors:
on pain killers as I write... can you not see the intent of the message without getting hung up on minutia... Gud man, getting hung up on an apostrophe? What are you a schoolmarm? sheesh!
Incorrect
That was part of the Waxman-Markey Cap & Trade bill which was not passed.
Just appreciate punctuation, spelling and grammar, that’s all.
Thank you for that info!!! Xactly what I’m talkin’ bout... Is there no single repository where this kind of thing is chronicled and deciphered to show the future effects... I can’t believe with all the Pols in DC and all the crowing they do against ObamaCare that no one has put anything together like this “(
There is a huge problem separating fact from rumor.
Now that the law is “cleared” by the SC, you will see a lot more detailed analysis from sources we can rely on.
There is a lot of misinformation on FR about the law for sure.
I tried to do some analysis of it myself, but it’s in lawyerlanguage and I get a headache doing it.

what the hell are you doing? do you even perceive the point of the discussion? please don’t waste my time with a response... Cheech and Chong should do a comedy routine about people like you...
Thanks for the correction.
People like me? Just because I don’t think conservatives should look ignorant? Sorry if I offended you but there is no excuse for conservatives not to know how to spell and use proper grammar, is there?
You responded anyway... schoolmarm...
The title makes no sense, and that’s how far I got.
I recommend the article in yesterday’s WSJ by James E.Courter titled “Teaching ‘Taco Bell’s Canon’”. It’s about the growing illiteracy in this country.
