Your comments on yesterday’s Sunday Talk Show Thread—in fact, a lot of other posters’ comments—were incredibly thought-provoking. Probably a major turning point for the Thread.
Did Rush just say he was “not hopeful”?
I think he’s despairing of the generation. Much of the reason for this, IMO, is that we have now is the result of 40+ years of indoctrination by academia and the media. That’s why we have a generation that is increasingly accepting of “alternative lifestyles,” increasingly non-religious, and to some degree very comfortable with relying on the government for every aspect of their lives.

transform from what? the richest most powerful country ever - that feeds more people than ever - that has had more medical advancements ever - freed more people than anyone
only a rich, fat, idle society has the luxury of sitting on their fat butts worshiping sports and malls - those people need hardship in their lives

I heard on “Gun Talk Radio” just last night, believe it or not, that the person in charge of the Columbia School of Journalism is bragging that he has put in the right places over the last several decades ‘progressive’ graduate students to form the media into a liberal slant.

A co-worker of mine swears she lives in one of those towns. Most of her neighbors are on disability or some sort of entitlement program.
