Do people who rape children, or fantasize about sexually abusing them, deserve sympathy – because they were born with the brains of pedophiles?

That’s the question a prominent scientist and a well-known anchor at CNN have asked in the wake of the recent Jerry Sandusky scandal.

CNN recently featured a story by James Cantor, a homosexual psychologist and scientist at the Sexual Behaviors Clinic of the Center for Addiction and Mental Health who serves as associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto.

“It appears that one can be born with a brain predisposed to experience sexual arousal in response to children,” he wrote in his CNN piece.

He continued, “Cases of child molestation that involve long strings of victims over the course of years illustrate what can happen when someone gives in to, or outright indulges, his sexual interests, regardless of its potential damage on others. It is those cases that dominate headlines and provoke revulsion toward pedophiles.

“But they are rare. An untold number of cases merit sympathy.

“The science suggests that they are people who, through no fault of their own, were born with a sex drive that they must continuously resist, without exception, throughout their entire lives. Little if any assistance is ever available for them.”

According to the American Psychological Association, Cantor is passionate about the neurological underpinnings of sexual behavior and jokes, “I feel lucky to have found a way to stimulate my brain intellectually by indulging myself in thinking about sex all the time.”

He has studied the brains of male pedophiles using magnetic resonance imaging. Cantor explained his findings:

“Pedophilic men have significantly less white matter, which is the connective tissue that is responsible for communication between different regions in the brain. Pedophiles perform more poorly on various tests of brain

Yes it has started. People convicted of child porn. Are complaining they receive longer prison sentences then people convicted of murder. They will start chanting the born that way lie. Yep. I DO have sympathy for their sad pedophile souls. I think it is appropriate to say a prayer, even offer them the gift of salvation - pointing out that Christ's shed blood covers even their sins.

Then, after given a half-hour or so to repent, or perhaps even allowed the opportunity to make a statement warning others against taking the same path, they are dropped into the deepest part of the ocean - with said millstone...

I think the gay eye candy is there, but not where you think. In the haute couture fashion world, the models, male and female, look like adolescent boy zombies— bony, somber, wearing clothes that don’t fit right, lip and face color deadened. It has nothing to do with beauty. It’s in the WSJ every couple of months. Absolutely nauseating.

As to the cute boys in the movies? That’s something different. I’ve read that if the target market is teen girls, they are less intimidated by ‘cute’ boys and find them easier to have first crushes on. They move on to more mature men as they grow up.

Also, I don’t know about every movie, but the last heroic fantasy movie I saw had healthy-looking people who tended to reinforce traditional appearances. In Percy Jackson, the men looked like men and the women were women, although they both battled a lot. Granted, that’s a Disney product with a high-school target market. (Good conservative book series, BTW, since the whole goal is preserving Western Culture.)

I don't think an article by some obscure academic is going to be taken seriously by anyone.

Not in this culture where pedophile hysteria is rampant and single men are increasingly being seen as being sexual predators until they prove themselves innocent.

They actually feed off each other. People that are "sure" so-and-so is a "child molester," irrespective of those optinal extrees called relevant facts, range from stubborn to adamantinely stubborn.

The normalization crew just play the other side of the stubborn game. If innocent men are thrown in with pedophiles, then pedophiles are thrown in with innocent men.

And just when you think things can't get any worse...the normalizers get the chance to pose as "reasonable."

Understanding the biological underpinnings of various behaviors is not normalizing them. We’ve known sociopaths are born not made for a long time but we still throw their butts in jail and in some states execute them for what they do. Knowing what makes them tick makes them easier to find and catch. And maybe some day cure before they start hurting people. Maybe. Someday. Until then though knowledge still makes them easier to catch.

Here in Illinois, active male homosexuals are permitted to adopt or foster male children. Private, Christian agencies that failed to do the same , were cut off from any state cooperation. Catholic Charities, which had participated in foster care activities for more than a century, has had to vastly reduce its participation because the state cut off funding.
Male children in homosexual “families” have a spectacularly high shot at being abused. A recent (suppressed and spiked) report placed the rate of abuse in such homes at 27 percent vs. 2 percent in hetero families. But for Illinois democrats, the rights of perverts and deviants trump the health and safety of the hard-luck children placed in foster care. A crime that cries to heaven for vengeance.

I think that more study on the subject is needed. When someone is convicted of pedophilia, their brain needs to be examined closely, under a microscope, after it's been removed.

People--- not just oddballs, or criminals, but people in general --- have inborn, poorly-controlled tendencies towards all kinds of bad behavior: narcissism, jealousy about oither people's relationships, social aggression, irresponsibility, quick tempers, promiscuous sexual appetite, impulsive self-gratification, resentment of others' success, eating disorders, longing for things they know are harmful, laziness, lack of empathy toward others, laziness, complacency, greed, manipulativeness, lying, self-absorption, etc. etc.

Everyone has some specific area in hteir life where "doing the wrong thing" seems to come naurally, while "doing the right thing" requires constant swimming against the current.

People can and do conceal or deny these flaws, lie to themselves or others about it, secretly or openly accommodate their own disordered tendencies all their life long, or even demand that others accept their bad behavior because "That's me, that's just who I am."

Then look into the Stonewall Veteran’s Association (of which Rudy Giuliani was a meeting attending board member) and why it was founded when the homosexuals already had ACTUP as an established brand.
