I see now. You dislike a man you have never met with such strong emotions that you project onto us that we listen to him because our emotions are so strong in the opposit direction. You project that your fellow FReepers even worship him.
Your emotional hatred of Rush is so strong that you can not accept that we enjoy his show as an entertainment venue.
Rush has no power over you, yet you have given him a tremondous amount of power in your life. You have allowed enough hatred in your heart that you attack your FRiends for their choice of entertainment.

Well, I tuned in expecting to hear Sean so my expectations were low :) He was into his Obamacare is really "Obama doesn't care" rant and I was thinking "hey, this guy is pretty good, pulling no punches." I didn't recognize the voice until he signed off for a commercial break. In that small dose, I thought he was great.
I don’t mean to judge, but you extended an invitation. Honestly, $95K a year in combined retirement income is not very good at all. I’d wager a third of that is SSIP, so the remaining would indicate that you eithier worked in low wage profession or that you invested very little over a 35+ year career or that you have made a poor investment choice.
All of the options degrade your credibility to be critical of my entertainment choice.
Sadly, if the govt had not stolen 13% of your income during your career, you would have an income doubling what you claim as a point of pride....

I don’t know, but chances are they wouldn’t defund the IRS even if they can.
The problem is, they view their contributions to SS over the years as “their” money, which in a reasonable society would be true.
But the best test in determining whether our government views the money as “ours” is this one:
If you were to die at age 64 (or 61 as the case may be) before you became eligible for SS benefits, with no surviving spouse or minor children, where would all “your” money go? To your estate?
Or at least defund enough to to stop the enforcement of 0bamacare.

If you don’t give a damn, why are you so vociferous on the Rush thread? That is normally referred to as “Trolling.”
The House alone can defund nothing. Throw in the Senate of no budget for years and the farce of Baseline budgeting and there is little hope to defund it in pieces. Sadly, the House, Senate, and Executive must concur to abolish it as well.
