“Romney: the king of the 3 day later comment.”
Stop whining. This is not a game. Any reasonable person should at least take the time to read all the opinions and dissents before saying that the decision was political.

Any reasonable person should at least take the time to read all the opinions and dissents before saying that the decision was political.I have. And more: I've read all the referenced precedents, and all the legal definitions of relevant terms from the late 18th and early 19th century dictionaires.
The more I researched it, the more convinced I became that the decision was political--or worse.

Are you really suggesting Romney read the opinions and dissents?

Romney Criticizes Roberts ObamaCare Decision as 'Political, not based on Constitution' It was political. Designed solely to help Romney. And then Romney promptly threw him under the bus.
These people are a moral and political train-wreck.

Well, at least he’s got his finger in the right wind, although I have next to zero faith that it will remain there for long.
To: BarnacleCenturion
I knew it instantly.
Bottom line: A “conservative” voting for massive, intrusive government.
What else is there to know? Only Flip Mitt and his ilk would be in the dark.

Romney Criticizes Roberts ObamaCare Decision as 'Political, not based on Constitution' As if Romney ever cared a flying fig about the Constitution.

Yes. Are you assuming that he didn’t?
To: Red Steel
The severely conservative Romney has also become a severe constitutionalist it appears...

Sad, isn't it?Terrible. Better he should join the mob and shoot from the hip without even being asked, when every bleacher bum in the park is yelling and screeching, and look like an insipid internet ninny with impulse control problems.

I’m glad he has taken the stand, albeit belatedly. It is still important that he has called out Roberts.
To: kristinn
I guess feels it is safe to be against it....took him long enough. God Bless our Country with this turd as our President.....Yes Yes better than Obama....I guess having someone substandard in conservatism is ok for most on here.
To: hinckley buzzard; jimbo123
BS. Respected conservatives saw Roberts’ decision for what it was within minutes.
Bottom line: Roberts voted in favor of massive, intrusive government.
Anyone even vaguely familiar with the US Constitution knows that isn’t in there. In fact, they know that’s what it was designed to avoid.
It takes no shooting from the hip, HB, to know that a ruling saying “The government can pursue and persecute you by taxing you over what you are NOT doing” is a ridiculous finding in the Constitution.
