" . . . Repeal of Obamacare will be the first item up in the Senate if I am majority leader. If we have a president who will sign the bill, we will do everything we can to get it off the books, and well be looking for every angle that could be pursued. There has been a lot of talk about reconciliation. The Chief Justice said this is a tax, and we take him at his word, so that certainly makes this eligible for reconciliation. But that may not be the only avenue that we pursue. Our goal will be to get it off the books. In my view, it is the single worst piece of legislation that has been passed in modern times, and Ive said that on numerous occasions. Its still my view. And just because the Supreme Court has decided it is constitutional doesnt mean its the right thing to do."

Newt was right. Ahead of his game and would have made the greatest president since Reagan. Romney should have followed Sowell, Levin and Rush and blasted Roberts on the healthcare ruling. His press release is weak. Using staffers as mouthpieces now because he lacks the leadership skills.
Here we go again:(
I concur on Newt.
I haven’t followed Romney.
Don’t know about anything he’s said.
My two Senators from Georgia tried this crap back when Teddy, McLame, and even W, posed the Amnesty Crap for illegals. Chambliss and Isakson got bitch-slapped so hard here, they were really spinning. However, they may have changed their tunes, they really didn't change their hearts. This is precisely why I will do everything in my own power to bring them down - primary them, when either comes up for election again.
From my young serviceman days, I remember a very grammatically correct rendition of an old saying "This is some shit, up with which I will not put."
Can you imagine the media frenzy?
"This is Anderson Cooper. I am standing on the steps of the Legislative Hall in Columbia, South Carolina where Federal Troops have just fixed bayonets and entered. At gunpoint, they are ordering the State Legislature to vote as they wish in order to give out free healthcare paid by the taxpayers of the State."
The entire country would be cracking up laughing over such an incident.
So the was more 'this thing would be hard to repeal in the context of creating a specific anti-Obamacare bill' ie just blue-lining about 20,000 "nots" into the ACA or writing the bill backwards or whatever breaks the spell, and passing that.
Just for my money, going back to Sunday's Fox interview with Wallace, there's something wrong with Scritch's brain lately, like medication or plaque or decrepancy. His speech was halting early on and he would take a long beat to try and recall his talking points.

Here’s a link about how to recapture the original intent of the Constitution.
Maybe we need a “Just Read The Damn Constitution!” party.
And if you are not majority leader?
How in the world did Rush get those two elected?
I didn’t say he got them elected. They’ve been in office for years.
I said he helped put them in power, as in leadership of both houses of Congress.
How? By griping incessantly about Bush and convincing many conservatives to stay home and not vote in 2006. So the Dems took full power over the legislative branch, Pelosi and Reid in charge.
It’s good to listen to radio and tv and read FR and other outlets. But you better realize that everybody is out to make a buck, and without an audience they don’t.
Controversy is good for ratings, but not necessarily for you.
You think Bush needed help disappointing Conservatives??? Ha!!
I think I can listen to many folks..and take in many opinions...and make my own mind up.
Maybe you are just easily swayed. I'm not.
That all said....Rush has done WAY more for the Conservative movement in the U.S.A. than me or you could ever imagine.
I've just a feeling you don't like him because he's been successful.
To each their own.......
When the republicans re-gain control of the Senate, it is time for new leadership. Jim Demint as majority leader. The repeal will be done in a day.
I’ll believe it when I see it from that RINO.
How about giving ALL of us waivers while they try to untangle this mess?
I give the odds of repeal at about, oh, zero. The gop likes obamacare only slightly less than the dems. And as we all know, one hand washes the other. While I guess we should give a gop congress and president the opportunity to do something outside of their normal modus operandi, we shouldn’t be surprised when they do what they normally do.
If obamacare goes away it will most likely be a result of action at the state level. Be it nullification or divorce.
Glad to see he’s recommitting to full repeal.
Cheers!
