Here's the CNN clip:

From her mouth: "It's not a tax".
The Internal Revenue Service would be the easiest enforcer of penalties against those who refuse to comply for those who fail to not pay the tax that isn't.
This is a penalty that will be assessed on the tax return if you choose to roll the dice and make us all pay for your being irresponsible and increase all of our health care costs...Were not going to tolerate that any more in America. You have to be responsible and you have to pay a penalty if you choose not to be..."

Debbie, those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it............oh, and get a new hair dresser.......or simply get one period........
This morning on a local radio station I heard a tax attorney say that effective in 2013 there will be a 3.8% 0bamacare tax on the gross sales price of a home. He said that if you sell a $100,000 condominium $3,800 tax will be taken from you while the property is in escrow. Can anybody confirm this? What other surprises lay in store for us?
Yes
So says John "Roger Taney" Roberts
Hey Deb!
I’m not going to “comply”.
Why don’t you come over here and show me what happens when your intolerance runs out?
“well I am retired. all they can do is take what I might have left behind for my kids. right now the kids are taking it so good luck to the feds.”
I think they eventually do away with Medicare and merge this with Obamacare. Some ‘rocket scientist’ will start touting, “why have two big programs...let’s take advantage of economies of scale”. This will be the mantra and excuse to kill off Medicare.
“and make us all pay for your being irresponsible and increase all of our health care costs”
But illegal aliens get free health care.
I’ve heard the same.
It is funny to now see the Democrats so concerned about freeloaders after they have spent the last several decades enabling them.
I’ve heard the same.
The USSC says it's only constitutional if it is a tax. As long as they keep saying it's not a tax, I don't see where they have any authority to collect it.
That statement is where Republicans are missing the boat. No the poor will not pay a tax or penalty or anything.....just like always. They will be forced on the Medicaid roles or will receive subsidies to purchase real insurance.
So just like always the people in the middles will be paying for the poors’ insurance. Nothing has changed with this bill regarding the ‘poor’ except they are guaranteeing that we now pay for more of them.
I think I will quit working and quit paying taxes.
Obama voters can pay for their own crap.
The best part is, the IRS doesn’t have to comply with the constitution. There’s no due process of law, you’re guilty before innocent and they can commandeer your assets just on a “hunch”.
This would sound so much better in German you Nazi Bit#$
We are still awestruck here that the regime-in-power decided to seize control over Everybody’s health care and access thereto, instead of simply addressing the perceived needs (such as...take your pick....authorizing health insurance policies to be available on an interstate basis, maybe offering some additional subsidies for any distress or poverty cases..or whatever was seen as a problem ...you name it, I don’t have to like it or agree with it to understand that maybe some politicians might want to propose more spending or programs or rules.. But to Take Over Everyone’s access to health care services!? (And to cram it down our throats through keeping the bill secret so our elected reps couldn’t even see what they were being told to vote for... and to lie to our faces about “no taxes” and “keep your doctor” and “no abortion spending”....lies, lies, lies, and more lies. A horrible approach......(follow the money, you can BET some politicians are being paid off to cram such an unpopular and unworkable pile of crud on us!) Just random thoughts. I would personally add that any health care programs outside of the military and possibly the VA should be decided and handed at the state or local levels, it not being the Federales’ job to run such welfare programs...
