Just watching Gala TV coverage of today's Mexican election. At one point they show the actual process. The voter hands over his photo ID which is then checked against the photo copies in vote judges book who then stamps the book and hands out the ballot. Voters also also have to show their thumbs, since they ink the thumb after they receive their ballot.
So, if Mexico, as poor as it is, can somehow issue photo IDs to all of its voters as well as provide photo copies to their election officials, why is it impossible for us to do the same? (I guess that is a rhetorical question.)
My guess is that you need ID to vote in Mexico.
If photo ID is good enough for Mexico, it’s good enough for the US!!!

The Mexican government is obviously very racist against Hispanic people.
Some people are just too dumb and lazy to get a photo ID.
That would never work here.
Too many voters have their thumbs stuck up their asses.
i have lived in mexico for 10 years, not only is ID required to vote, but foreigner residents are required to carry their valid FM3/2 (similar to green card) in their cars with them...a copy will suffice but you are required to show if if pulled over by police......hello Arizona
We really need to adopt the Mexican immigration and voter ID policies.
Good observations
The reason Racist Groups (Civil Rights Orgs are now nothing but Racist Groups) hate voter ID is because so many in their group DO NOT WANT TO BE ID’d. Let’s be honest...a large amount of crime is committed by minorities...they do not want to be ID in any way possible by cops, lawyers, debt collectors, dope dealers, etc...the real reason Racist Groups do not want ID verification for voting
The ones w/o id have to vote in usa
Why not? Because our ‘Rats will scream “RACIST!” and the jelly-spined RINOs will run for the tall grass, every time.
The GOP is not called the Stupid Party without reason. We’re like Charlie Brown, always trying to kick Lucy’s football.
Another reason they move here: it’s easier to vote.
Looks like the PRI Party that ruled for so long will return to power—Maybe they can stop the violence—I wish them luck.
