This song is a classic use of tonal misdirection, something that Rachmaninov specialized in. The introduction and the song proper are in different keys, and the transition is a shock.

McCartney put as much thought into a song as Gershwin. He agonized over the melodic component of a song, and he wouldn’t rest until he got it right. He will go down in history next to Gershwin, Rodgers, Berlin and Porter.

Good evening, teen...NO!! With difficulty I got on my hands and knees and wormed my way under the sink. I was able to get a good grip on the handle with channel locks, but couldn’t really budge it. I didn’t want to force the issue and break something. I stuffed a napkin in the copper tubing, dried everything, and watched the water slowly soak the napkin and start adding to the container. It is taking about 3 hours to fill it. So, every time someone goes into the kitchen, they squeeze the napkin, empty the bucket, and we start over without any missed drops.

My Mom and I sat and talked this morning about the list of relatively minor plumbing issues that need fixing....Monday I will call a plumber and have him do all the jobs. I just cannot be on my knees and remove and re-silicone 2 tubs, along with a couple other jobs I was going to tackle. Some years ago I could...no more.
