COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - President Barack Obama absorbed the devastation of Colorado's wildfires Friday, visiting a neighborhood struck by the flames and taking in the acrid smells of charred homes while plumes of smoke rose from the surrounding mountains.

After declaring a "major disaster" in the state early Friday and promising federal aid, Obama got a firsthand view of the fires and their toll on residential communities. More than 30,000 people have been evacuated in what is now the most destructive wildfire in state history.

I used to live in Colorado Springs. I love that town, and I weep for it’s partial destruction. The town housed MANY armed forces families.

Colorado Springs is also a deeply Christian city, and I wonder if Obama had to excuse himself somewhere and ask which way was west.

Let me guess. He squatted down and picked up a burnt stick. Louisiana shores redux.

Nationalizing sticks is more of a stretch than nationalizing energy, though. Maybe he’ll sell the land to Communist China as salvage.

Was this caused by natural causes or arson?

The cause is being investigated, but isn’t yet known. I live in Colorado Springs, and I give our local news stations major Bravo Zulus for their professional, calm, and factual reporting. They’ve been on around the clock since Saturday, and have refused to speculate about the cause, number of homes destroyed, or anything else, which has made their viewers feel that the information the stations are providing can be trusted.

As for Obama, yes, he made a quick visit for photo ops and to portray himself as concerned, but I’m sure he had important fundraisers to go to, and he didn’t stay long. Which is good, because everyone standing around him during the photo op and statement is a conservative Republican and would vote for a beer can for president if it opposed Obama.

Guess we shouldn’t be waiting for him in Arizona any time soon.

it was probably arson by the Obama regime. The idea was to give him a photo op showing ‘concern’
