The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the individual insurance requirement at the heart of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.

I won't. I WILL NOT SUCCUMB TO THEIR SLAVERY ANYMORE!
If they darken my door they won't leave. My line has been drawn in the sand.
They can kiss my ass.
They’ve just thrown the juggler (fedgov/economy) an 18 lb bowling ball.
Take heart in the fact that this cannot be maintained or sustained and the whole thing will come crashing down, and those hit the hardest will be those who have been the most dependent.
Look out for you and yours, because this just accelerated the inevitable.
I PREDICT THAT THIS IS A PYRRHIC VICTORY FOR OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATS. THEY JUST ENSURED A MASSIVE GOP MAJORITY IN THE HOUSE AND CLOSE TO A FILIBUSTER-PROOF MAJORITY IN THE SENATE.
That was my first question too, and I was going to ask it on another thread, but it was pulled. Thanks for thinking of it.
When was the last time the government cared about how its edicts actually affected Joe Sixpack? For that matter, when was the last time the government had to actually obey its edicts?
>>No only disgusting, but this ensures Obama will win in November....<<
Maybe, but personally, I think the sleeping giant has again been awakened, completely re-energized, with more power than ever before.
You are going to see conservative activism over the next four months that makes the Tea Party of 2010 look like, well, just a tea party.
Meanwhile, the liberals will go back into their cocoon, convinced that all is well again....
It’s very perplexing. During the arguments before Roberts didn’t seem to indicate that he was favorable towards upholding the ACA. IIRC he was tough in his questioning of Verrilli.
“Roberts, too, had given the Obama administration faint hope. He wondered if the government could require everyone to buy cellphones, since that would facilitate the governments system for providing fire and ambulance services in emergencies. He worried that if the court said requiring health-insurance purchases were constitutional because the health-care market was such a unique one Verrilli repeatedly made that case, because no one can predict what services they will need and when the government would simply come up with reasons that a different industry fit the bill.”
OBAMACARE = SLAVERY
repeat often to everyone.
OBAMACARE = SLAVERY
that is out talking point.
now vote out every single democrat.
Will somebody please ping me wrt location, time, etc., of commencement of our rioting.
I will not vote ever again for the GOP rather I will vote for the most liberal/socialists/leftists etc candidate from now on.
Voting any other way will not matter as it will be a waste of time and a vote.....
Above post is totally emotional reaction....
There is nothing passed by one Congress and signed by one President that cannot be undone by another Congress and signed by another President.
Elections are in November.
There is also a silver lining in this ruling, in that there was at least ONE big fat ugly camel that could not be passed through the eye of the needle called “interstate commerce”. According to the ruling Congress doesn't have the power to do ANYTHING based upon some tangential effect upon interstate commerce - although they DO still have the power to tax.
As such 0bamacare is the largest tax increase in USA history.
A tax that falls unfairly upon the young and healthy (who are on average less well off) to subsidize the health care of the elderly (who are on average the Americans with the greatest accumulation of wealth).
A very UNPOPULAR tax to fund a very UNPOPULAR program.
The electoral mandate from the next election should be clear - rejection of the government takeover of health-care and the largest tax increase in US history.
Great. Now we can look forward to doctors immediately closing up shop while patients will be left to be treated by Obama-voting, unqualified, affirmative-action hacks who can barely speak English working in government clinics.
It is a house of cards that will soon be blown down.
A 4th grader can see that this is not Constitutional.
If the government can do this, what the F can’t it do to us?
You STILL don't get it?
EVERY Government position of Authority is FILLED with those who want BIG GOVERNMENT/Centralized Control. From the USSC, through the White Hut, through the Congress, we are screwed.
Election of more Conservatives will not be accomplished in decades, to un-do the Lifetime Appointed USSC, Federal Liberal Activist Judges, and the control of ALL Media for propoganda.
What SHOULD be done, is the cutoff of Tax-payments by those who are forced to fund parasitic lifestyles, inner-city tribes, non-U.S. Citizens INCLUDING "Anchor Babies".
Months ago, I had said that Arizona's efforts would be Ruled against, and Obamacare WOULD NOT BE UN-DONE, regardless of Constitutionality. THE FIX IS IN, PERIOD.
Couldn’t have said it better.
So if the States can opt out of expanding medicaid its citizens still have to pay the tax for the other States.
The first online source of magnetic “Impeach Roberts” bumper stickers is going to make a lot of money.
And, given that most of the liberal vandals who would key a car carrying an Impeach Obama bumper sticker have probably never heard of John Roberts, maybe they don’t even have to be magnetic signs.
The decision was clear. The fed govt can make you do anything, pay anything for anything as long as they call it a tax.
