That's because the chances are much greater that someone who is still unambiguously liberal by the time he has reached middle age is going to remain liberal and because liberal presidents tend to nominate folks who are unambiguously liberal.

Yup. 100% agree. They pick the biggest commie they can. Our side ALWAYS seems to screw the pooch and pick somebody that SEEMS to be on our side till they get there. Basically, I don't trust any president nowadays. Not since Reagan. I did not trust Bush I with my wallet. I did not trust George W. either. I always felt something just wasn't good there. That little sly smile always gave me other thoughts of what is going on inside that head. He gets a lot of the blame in my book for the financial mess we are in.
