White House spokesman Jay Carney issued the following statement in response to the Egyptian presidential election:
"The United States congratulates Dr. Mohamed Morsi on his victory in Egypts Presidential election, and we congratulate the Egyptian people for this milestone in their transition to democracy.
"We look forward to working together with President-elect Morsi and the government he forms, on the basis of mutual respect, to advance the many shared interests between Egypt and the United States. We believe that it is important for President-elect Morsi to take steps at this historic time to advance national unity by reaching out to all parties and constituencies in consultations about the formation of a new government. We believe in the importance of the new Egyptian government upholding universal values, and respecting the rights of all Egyptian citizens including women and religious minorities such as Coptic Christians. Millions of Egyptians voted in the election, and President-elect Morsi and the new Egyptian government have both the legitimacy and responsibility of representing a diverse and courageous citizenry.

Inane as it sounds, Koch claims that Obama has become pro-Israel since that NY special congressional election where the Republican Bob Turner, endorsed by Koch himself, pulled an upset in Weiner's former district.
The Egyptian Tourist Board can now offer live 12th-century floggings to its other antiquities.
And yet, only yesterday the headline here on the sidebar read
“’Egypt gov’t sources: Shafik to be named president’ (Muslim Brotherhood loses!!!)”
Geeeeeee...ya think they stole the election??? /sarc
He has become a supporter of Israel as sincerely as he is a supporter of national security, law and order, and tax cuts for the middle class. That is to say, he is as sincere as he is capable of being, i.e., not at all.
We look forward to working together with President-elect Morsi and the government he forms, on the basis of mutual respect, to advance the many shared interests between Egypt and the United States.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Buahahahahahahahahaha!
Morsi will be allied with Russia, which has its fleet in the Mediterranean. Obama will be ignored like the virtual idiotic, ideological prig he truly is, despite Obama’s offering Israel up on the Obama sacrificial altar. It will get Obama no where. The Russians will be the exclusive allies of Syria, Libya and Egypt.
White House (OBAMA) ‘Congratulates’ Morsi on Winning Egyptian Presidential Election
Congratulations to the Muslim Brotherhood from another Muslim Brother.
I actually think it is even worse than that. Obama has been destabilizing the largely secular Arab dictatorships in North Africa and the Middle East and pushing the Muslim Brotherhood and other transnational Islamists into power throughout the region. More than any other person, Obama is bringing about the creation of the Islamic Greater Caliphate that is the Muslim dream. The Caliphate will unite to try and destroy Israel and serve as the springboard to the Islamization of Europe and attacks on the US.
Obama did this.
Unite? Never, that caliphate is a Muslim pipe dream. There is so much dissension among them. Who will rule? Egypt or Saudi Arabia or Turkey or Iran/Iraq? There is the shallow appearance of unit versus the Jews and the US, but below the surface it’s piranha city and they’re cannibals.
Who are you referring to - Koch or Obama?
The Obama people might have envisioned this back in 2009, when Obama himself gave that infamous pro-Islamist speech in, ironically, Cairo. They certainly did their part in helping it to happen.
And to think that some people still believe that obama hasn't achieved anything in his presidency!
Question: Who lost Egypt as a US ally?
Answer: America, led by Islamist-supporter Obama.
Nice going, fool!
Obama. Koch is just a loud-mouthed, preening has-been.
As a long time lurker, I always read your comments (have done so for many years now)!
