Inane as it sounds, Koch claims that Obama has become pro-Israel since that NY special congressional election where the Republican Bob Turner, endorsed by Koch himself, pulled an upset in Weiner's former district.
He has become a supporter of Israel as sincerely as he is a supporter of national security, law and order, and tax cuts for the middle class. That is to say, he is as sincere as he is capable of being, i.e., not at all.
