From March when Rush read a e-mail from a friend upset at Romney. Best email ever that describes our dilemma.
A Conservative's Despair of a Romney Republican Ticket

And Finally:
Rush Limbaugh: Romney Is NO Conservative

I curse both parties for forcing this choice upon us.I always said anybody but Obama-but damn it,Romney?
You post things that are not true.
Rush is ABO. He supports voting for the GOP nominee.
Cut the crap already.
.
absolutely ... “no comment here” ...
.
What else is new? We wanted Palin, then Cain, then Perry, then Gingrich. We got Romney. The point is Romney is NO Obama.
Now we know why.
Milt Romney IS Obama.
Same Egotism.
Same Backstabbing.
Same antiConstitutionalism.
Same Ineptness.
Same RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE.
Same TARP
Same Ineligibility.
Same Global Warming.
Same Love for TAXES (Mr. RomneyCARE calls them 'fees')
Same HATRED OF real CONSERVATIVES.
It seems to me that conservatives, and everyone else, should get used to the idea of Romney or start to enjoy saying, “President Obama.”
Romney is a liberal and will work with Democrats just like he says he will. All his promises in the primary were just to get him the nomination.
Cut the crap already.
It’s no use, rogue yam. They can’t be reasoned with.
It’s like trying to reason with a liberal.
People are still bellyaching about Romney becoming the Republican candidate; but my question is this:
Where were the conservative candidates after McCain lost as far as thinking about the 2012 election? Did any of them begin building an organization, raising funds, getting out their beliefs and why they should be elected? None of the candidates, including Gingrich who I voted for in the primary, did that. Romney was the only Republican who decided that he wanted to be president enough that he began working to get known and support for winning the Republican nomination. None of the following did that: Gingrich, Palin, Santorum, Pawlenty, Cain. Thompson and Guiliani didn’t even get back into thinking about trying again after being defeated by McLaime.
Romney? I for one am going to hold my breath until I die. And if that doesn’t work I will stomp my foot. I swear to God I will! Who’s with me, dammit?!
You are absolutely right, GreyFriar, that Romney built his org. for seven years..so raised way more money, made connections and worked harder and longer than the others.
But that doesn’t mean that there weren’t other good candidates...just that they didn’t start conniving early like Mittens did.
There were a few Conservatives in the bunch. Unfortunately Romney, the last man standing, is not one of them.
Although Rush refers to the anonymous e-mailer as "not a famous person", I wonder if the author is Mark Levin. Seems to me the thinking of Mark, and a request by Rush to air it, with a request by Mark to make it anonymous, would result in Rush saying nobody famous. Thus, it sounds like Mark resigned to vote for the juice can.
The primaries are ‘OVER’! Get over it! You are posting something that is 3 months old during the heat of the primaries. Any efforts such as yours, to try and re-start the primary fight to dampen enthusiasm in voting for Romney, is doing the work of the RATs! I view all such efforts with great suspicion as to which side you want to win come November.
The secret libs here, trying to reelect Obama, will try every trick they can to defeat Romney.
I do not especially like Romney, but I know Obama wants to destroy our America. It’s that simple.
I could back Romney if he apologized for Romney0bamaCare.
Romney0bamaCare is the most horrifying anti-freedom pro-slavery piece of legislation in my lifetime.
I can’t get over it. Until he admits the mistake, I presume he intends to continue to destroy my individual liberty.
I’m starting to think that many of them would rather see Mr. Obama get another four years and ruin our country than see a RINO in the White House. What were Bush 41, Bush 43, Ford, Ike and Nixon?
Mary, What you call “conniving,” I call planning and preparation. Yes, there were good conservative candidates but none of them made a decision until about 2 years ago. Many of the conservatives stated how they supported Reagan’s positions, etc; however none of them learned this lesson: Decide that you need to run for president because you have the conservative beliefs and ideas that this nation is centered on and needs to have in a leader. Reagan decided early that he should run for the presidency and he began with the nominating speech for Goldwater. And after Goldwater was defeated, Reagan began his planning and preparation. It took a decade to lay the foundation for his run for the presidency, and included loosing the nomination to Gerald Ford. But he stuck to his goal. He realized that it was going to be a long game, and he played it.
Are Conservatives not allowed to criticize Republican candidates now?
Isn’t this a Conservative site not a Republican site?
