Although former House Speaker and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich was smeared as racist by many Democrats and members of the main stream media for declaring Barack Obama the food stamp president, it turns out that, according to the USDA, being a food stamp president is really hip.
In fact, the nations agricultural agency says, in a recent video ad,

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
My co-worker at Microsoft who earns around $120,000 gets foodstamps because his daughter was premature.
He cannot reject the foodstamps.
If he doesn’t spend the money given to him on foodstamps, he risks the confiscation of his new daughter by Child Protective Services.
He has to figure out how to buy enough crap food on food stamps, then give it to less fortunate people at his church.
“He cannot reject the foodstamps.”
Of course not. The favorite words of the Evil Left are must, shall, and will. There’s no room for individual thought or Free Will. Nothing must stand in their way when they’re showing how “compassionate” they are.
o, the typos...apologies...half asleep.
Bull.... If I dare to go food shopping on the first of the month when their debit cards are refilled, I am sure to see a bunch of overweight women with shopping carts filled with frozen pizza, Hi-C "fruit" drink, potato chips and other assorted crap I don't even buy for myself. But of course, I am paying for theirs.
I understand your anger/rage. I’m the one they have to hide in the closet when company comes. However, it appears that people need education. If you present them with incontrovertible facts, they can fact-check until the cows come home, but they can’t disprove your contentions. Two former libs I know have seen the light. One will no longer speak w/me because I cast doubt on everything she has stood for lo these many years. Doan make me no nevahmind. If she wants to remain in ignorance and support an unconscionable choice, that’s her business.
Please try to educate people. If they’re refractory, so be it. If not, you have done an inestimable service to all Americans, some of whom would probably have heard your message.
And it all started with Roscoe Filburn feeding his own wheat to his own livestock, without the government’s permission.
Your co-worker is pulling your leg. Food stamps are income-based. If he is making as much money as he claims, he does not qualify. Eligibility has nothing to do with physical disabilities (or premature birth). Nothing. At all. Food stamps are a federal program, child protective services are administered by the state. He cannot “give away” food stamps to people at his church, because they are provided through a debit card. If he gives away or sells the debit card (and pin number), he is committing a federal crime. This guy must think you just fell off the turnip truck. Ask him to show you his food stamps.
My goodness it sounds like someone at the USDA is really trying hard to justify his or her superfluous job.
Food stamps don’t need to be hyped. Whoever needs them can easily get them.
There should be NO FOOD STAMPS....only healthy FOOD GRUEL.
Was your taking the Lord's name in vain in post #6 a typo?
How do you know it was in vain, Jerry Falwell?
I say put the stigma back in welfare....it motivates you to not take hand outs as a career.
Uhhh... I’m calling BS on your co-worker story.
On some items in the store, I see a sign that says “WIC approved” (milk, cheese and peanut butter come to mind). How come there aren’t “food stamp” approved items? How is it that they can be used for junk food, soda and the like?
BUMP! Please see the tag line.
I’m just relating what he told me this afternoon. And, he’s giving away the “purchases” to others.
I didn’t research this. He’s a straight conservative. He can’t avoid the Food Stamps, he says.
