The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the constitutionality of President Barack Obama's health care law within the next week, and House Speaker John Boehner has issued a pre-emptive warning to fellow House Republicans if parts of the law are struck down: Forget about celebrating.
In a memo sent to his entire caucus Friday, Boehner warned members not to gloat over what most Republicans would see as a victory.
"[I]f the Court strikes down all or part of the president's health care law, there will be no spiking of the ball," Boehner wrote in the memo. "Republicans are focused on the economy—and under President Obama's policies, our economy is struggling. We will not celebrate at a time when millions of our fellow Americans remain out of work, the national debt has exceeded the size of our nation's economy, health costs continue to rise, and small businesses are struggling to hire."

BRAVO!! Well said. Bonehead is a depressed alcoholic, with no balls, no fight, who goes along to get along. It is time for him to step down. We need a patriot who has the fight in his belly and the capability to get the job done.

Listen, a Pelosi as minority leader would not have accepted the defeat quietly or graciously. Boehner should have done everything possible to raise hell when they passed the bill.

Even if it’s struck down, the fight is not over yet. The concern here is that conservatives will rest on their laurels thinking that the HCR fight is over, but it’s not. The Obama camp will use this to fire up their base. Major pieces of Obamacare are already instituted that need to be chucked out of the system and that won’t be easy. The administration may just move to expand medicare instead. Unfortunately, too many people will sit back and say, “We won!!” and not realize there’s so much more going on.

As a Minority Leader, Pelosi would've had the full attention of the MSM -- happy to serve as her megaphone.
As a Majority Leader, Boehner's statements are generally ignored by the MSM, if they are not misconstrued. For example, he has been supportive of Issa's committee at every opportunity -- yet the MSM has portrayed him as a "waffler".
And most FReepers have bought into the MSM's interpretation.

I’ve called out several alleged conservative posters here in the past few days who have INSISTED on believing the media if they use quotes around particular statements.
Especially for example if they quote a cop, because we’re supposed to assume that cops never lie, even in D.C.
If we gain more conservatives in the House in 2012 then the class of 2010 needs to get with them and vote for another Speaker.
If not, to hell with all of them. The Tea Party and us conservatives will be duped again. We have to primary these RINO’s more.
