In hawkish remarks that drew cheers from an audience of religious conservatives, Mitt Romney accused President Obama on Saturday of being more afraid that Israel might attack Iran than that Iran will develop a nuclear weapon.
The Republican presidential candidate, who frequently attacks the administration for failing to back Israel's government more aggressively, ratcheted up his criticism a notch. He responded with ridicule when asked what he would do, if elected, to strengthen U.S. relations with the Jewish state.
"I think, by and large, you can just look at the things the president has done and do the opposite," Romney said, to laughter and applause from members of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, an evangelical Christian political organization.

I think Romney is right. We share the opinion about Obama — he a naturally a coward, afraid of any confrontation where HE would have to lay it on the line, especially ahead of an election he is going to lose. He is also more worried about what the Muslim/Islamic world thinks of him, rather than real Americans and other Western peoples.
He is destructive, dangerous, useless and not an American patriot.
As for why Jews vote Democrat: - and for a Muslim-lover like Obama?
Not being Jewish I can only speculate that it is partly based on the misconception by many Jews that the GOP represents the WASP 'establishment' that has usually been hostile to Jews while the Democrats represent the 'underdog'. That conception is almost absurd, today but old habits apparently die hard when it comes to the 'Jewish vote'. In addition, I suspect that many younger American Jews aren't all that concerned about the fate of Israel. That is almost tragic but seems to be the case. However, Obama has been so hostile to Israel that many Jewish DNC contributors have snapped their wallets shut this time out and some Jews apparently are taking a second look at Romney (the epitome of a WASP - or, in his case, a WASM).
“Hussein’s radical Islamist allies are extending their tentacles into large parts of the Middle East. Hussein doesn’t want anything to interfere with the Islamist conquest before it is complete.”
I am afraid you are right, even if your tagline says it’s not fact.
What will Romney do for the Gentile nation of Israel?
Read the article!
I believe you have summarized it very well and are most likely pretty accurate.
Add to that the Jews very much identify with the past hx of the Blacks being persecuted/oppressed/enslaved.
They were also very pro-Union and very, very socialists at best in America.
Also, I think there is a certain desire to hang with the wealthy , the elites and all that fawning Obama does for hollywood, etc they respond to.
Well, we’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto! But they still are.
Weren’t Nazis consdered to be “right-wingers” especially compared to Socialist and Communist. Does that have anything to do with it.
Also, like Democrats many Germans were very racist back in the day?
If you all have not read the article from the NY times, it seems that Romney and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu have been friends for 36 years. That “may” help with the Jewish vote. I think is says volumes of the support we will be lending to Israel under a Romney administration. http://www.jpost.com/USPresidentialrace/Article.aspx?id=265307
One problem is that 0bummer wants Iran to get nukes. He probably thinks it’s unfair for the US to have them
I have had this explained this to me. I apologize that I cannot recall why this is, but it seems that the Jewish community in America does not have any interest in the Israel of today.
Ben Shapiro was discussing that very subject on Heidi Harris' show on KRLA in Los Angeles this week. Ben pointed out that many of these "Jewish" voters are only Jewish twice a year. (i.e. only at Passover and Yom Kippur.) As he pointed out, if you take away the religious tag, all you're left with are liberal, white, urban voters. There's no reason why this block of liberal, urban whites would be more friendly toward Israel than any other group of liberal, urban whites. I've also heard Dennis Prager say that the older members of this group are, in their heads, still voting for FDR or JFK. They don't see an anti-Semite when they look at Obama; they see Roosevelt.
Some consider themselves ‘minorities’ and feel a common bond. I find that ridiculous for a large number of reasons.
In other words, Hussein is working for the interests of radical Islamist everywhere. In a sane world, Americans should see that Hussein really is a Muslim plant who sold his soul to the devil called Islam. This is not a sane world.
It is infuriating for the socialists that evangelical Christians are better friends of Israel than most American Jews.
To use a Clintonian image, they have been triangulated.
The Nazis were assigned the value of “right winger” by communist-leaning Leftists in the U.S. since WWII. This is hugely inaccurate and a great example of Big Lie propaganda from our Left.
The fact remains that there wasn’t/isn’t much difference ideologically between Communists and Nazis, and the Socialists are darn close. For a great quote on this, see the 3rd one on my FR profile page, the two paragraph one by Hayek.
Romney is swell. He says all the right things that have been published by Conservatives decades before he agreed. He now has them printed for him. Good for he and his.
Knee-jerk reflex, hard-wired mindset. I see it in the previous generation of my own family.
