Weren’t Nazis consdered to be “right-wingers” especially compared to Socialist and Communist. Does that have anything to do with it.
Also, like Democrats many Germans were very racist back in the day?

"The National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English in short form as the Nazi Party,"

The Nazis were assigned the value of “right winger” by communist-leaning Leftists in the U.S. since WWII. This is hugely inaccurate and a great example of Big Lie propaganda from our Left.

The fact remains that there wasn’t/isn’t much difference ideologically between Communists and Nazis, and the Socialists are darn close. For a great quote on this, see the 3rd one on my FR profile page, the two paragraph one by Hayek.
