"This is just so unprecedented and outrageous, that you have to ask the question, would the right-wing president be doing this if we had a white president there?" MSNBC guest and Democratic strategist Julian Epstein said on the channel this afternoon.
"I think it's a very important question because I think this is the first African-American president. We've never had a white president been told by the opposing party to shut up in the middle of a major address to the Congress. We've never had a president like this heckled so disrespectfully. We've never had this otherness afforded to any other president and I think the right wing has some explaining to do because to me it's patently obvious," he said.

Our President, Obama or someone else, is not GOD. If our President refuses to answer questions, which Obama does, often, then it is the duty of the press, and anyone else, to interupt if need be.
Obama works for us, we are not his servants, and if we want answers to questions, we should get them.

The press hated Richard Nixon and made no secret about it, president or not.
The press hated presidents Bush. I still remember Dan Rather's shouting interview of G.H.W. Bush on CBS Evening "News" in 1988(?). If it was 1988 Bush was still VP an campaigning for president.
There are thousands of examples -- and an equal number of examples of the press' servile respect and worship of Clinton and Obama.
