(CNN) -- A Texas father caught a man sexually assaulting his 4-year-old daughter and punched him in the head repeatedly, killing him, authorities said.
The father was casually acquainted with the alleged abuser, said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon.
Neither has been publicly identified.
The girl was left inside the family's house during the social gathering, while other members of her family were tending to horses, the sheriff said.
The alleged abuser was known for his horse-grooming abilities, Harmon said.
The father returned to the house, caught the man in the act, and stopped him by striking him in the head several times, Harmon said.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene, while the daughter was taken to a local hospital in Victoria, Texas, for examinations before being released. . . . .

Molesters seek out kids who have absent fathers. It’s sad but true. As for people not having as much concern for boys being molested as they do girls, I don’t agree with that. Everyone with a heart hates child abuse of all kinds.

You can't believe how tiresome it has become that almost every "Not about the November Election" thread on FR has one or several someones post some comment about Romney or Mormons on it, even when it has nothing whatsoever to do with the topic of the thread.
I think the reason the "Mayo or Miracle Whip" thread had over 300 posts was because there was really no way to insert some comment about Romney or Mormons on it, unless of course one wanted to appear to be posting from a State Hospital.

There is a contingent at Free Republic which believes nothing anyone ever does sexually should have a negative consequence under any circumstance.

Those who are ok voting for romney must think abortion and gay marriage is ok. If you are a conservative and a Christian, that is a hugh compromise. If it’s all about money..........What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul.
Romney is like obama socially. Romney fans must think abortion and gay marriage (both sexual behavior-and expecting no negative consequences) is ok, because they know that is what they will get with him.
Even though it has been clinically established that child abuse of boys by females such as teachers upsets them as much as abuse by men against girls, you have only to read a thread on FR to find the Jerk Contingent posting "NOT GUILTY" if she's "hot" or "I wish it had happened to me" or "lucky kid" or "I'd hit it" -- every time. It is revolting.
As the mother of a son, I also would have struck anyone who tried to harm him with whatever was available. For example, I once saw some neighborhood bullies ganging up on a smaller boy in our block; I chased them waving a garden rake and screaming curses like a banshee. Completely spontaneous, not a moment's thought; and scared them out of their wits. Would do it again.
