Dad beats daughter’s alleged molester to death
Houston Chronicle ^ | June 11, 2012

A father who said he saw a man molesting his 4-year-old daughter behind a barn in Lavaca County apparently beat the man to death Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The death occurred about 3:45 p.m. at a horse barn along County Road 302 near Shiner, about 127 miles west of Houston, said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon.

Harmon said the victim, a 47-year-old Gonzales man, died at the scene. His name has not been released because his next of kin has not yet been notified of the death.

No arrests have been made in the case. Harmon said a grand jury will probably to determine what, if any charges, will be filed.

Harmon said the father and daughter were at their barn with several other people to groom and care for horses there. The victim came with some of the other people, but was not well-known, if all, to the father and child.

The group later heard the girl screaming behind the barn, Harmon said. Her father ran to see what was wrong and said he saw the man allegedly sexually assaulting the child. While pulling the man away from the girl, he hit the man several times in the head, Harmon said.

The girl was taken to DeTar hospital in Victoria to be evaluated and to have tests done to determine if a sexual assault occurred. She was released later

Actually, I did read the article and it said that
"the father and daughter were at their barn with several other people to groom and care for horses there."
Not to pick nits but this left me with the impression that horses might have been boarded at this barn that were not owned by the father. My experience with such (having boarded horses at farms owner by others) is that while the barn may have been owned by the father, it was also something of a public place.

BTW, I didn't convey any blame to the father, I simply asked an honest question.

Yes my friend I agree.

They are using those words in English as to be so well oriented, not calling a “victim” pedophile, evil, abhorrent, rather minimizing his evil guilt and making guilt on father who rule is to protect a child.

More they twist more evil they are.

There is natural law, and human law, and there familia law.
Any parent knows it. Unless lawyers want to write a new law for animal kingdom, I would love to see reaction of lions. We humans are not animals, but instinct as parent kicks in automatically, as for any one.

Merci.

ESL? Dyslexia? Don’t care about the people who have to read what you’ve written?

He is possibly posting from a smartphone or iPod Touch. I have similar problems due to big fat fingers. The editing capabilities of these devices are limited and cumbersome. I do admit even his user name seems dyslexic.

I’ll bet $1,000 the (former) molester was an illegal alien of Mexican extraction.

I beleive I heard on San Antonio’s WOAI radio a few minutes ago that there will be no charges filed against the father because there was every indication that the father was telling the truth.

Sounds like the “He Needed Killing” defense applies.

If that is truly what happened (and I have no reason to doubt that it is) then good luck finding any jury to convict him.

Hopefully the father will not be charged. If he is that it is a legal defense fund I will be more than happy to donate to. If more parents would defend their children in this way we would have much less of it.

That is a good father. Several such fatal beatings would go a long way toward reducing child molestation significantly.

I heartily approve.

Bleeding hearts always condemn this as being out of proportion to the crime, but the fact is, it would be effective.

If “all the people in the barn” did in fact hear the little girl scream, they can testify to that in court and the prosecutor can make a case for what it was that made the girl scream.

I don't blame the father for pummeling him, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to cheer on vigilantism. I was once in a Walgreens, looking at shampoos and minding my own business. I looked up when a three year old girl pointed at me and started screaming. (By the way, I'm a middle age, middle class white woman.) I had no idea who the child was or what was going on with her. It turns out that I looked like some family member who I presume is a nasty person. Understandably, people — including the child's mother — ran to the aisle to find out what was going on. The mother figured out right away what was upsetting the little girl and told everyone I hadn't done anything. But the other adults knew only that the little girl had screamed and was pointing at me. I guess I'm lucky a man in the crowd didn't beat me to death.

Where is the "big IF" there?

I am afraid that whenever you are relying on a MSM report for information, you have to qualify it with a big IF.

According to the MSM, George Zimmerman is an evil white racist that hunted down and murdered a poor, defenseless black child.

This case is quite different from your experience.

Five years probation? Seems kind of harsh to me. Should have gotten one of those “Presidential Freedom Medals”. Look at all the money he saved the taxpayers. Commendable!!

The guy got what he deserved, and this wasn’t vigilantism, it was a father defending his little girl. Also, tell me why you think this guy beat the perp if it wasn’t to protect his little girl. According to you, if I saw someone killing another person, I should just let it happen or I would be a vigilante. People like you are the reason crime is so rampant in the USA.

He used deadly force to stop the rape of a child, which in some states is still a hangin’ offense, or at least to be before the nation was gelded.

Good!!!

Any difference between smacking him with death blows instead of a shot to the head?

Good for him.
