I was listening to the morning talk program on WMAL - DC. They had Joe DeGenova on. He said people will go to jail for this. However, the host pointed out that the president can de-classify information at will. Both of them then started parsing Pres. Obama’s statement about this, and it seems that that’s what he’s doing - no leak of classified information from the White House because Obama declassified it!

Since the leak did not come from the White House Per Mr. Obama I would suggest that Representative King request that the New York Times release the source of their information. The New York Times can not do this due to obtaining the information on the basis of confidentiality.

Mr. Obama could have every person working in the White House (including himself) sign a release of confidentiality to the New York Times. If this were done, we would know by the next day who did it.
