Rep. Peter King: National Security Leaks Came From the White House

Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Peter King (R-NY), sat down with Jamie Colby today on America’s News HQ to discuss the investigation into the leaks on counter-terrorism programs. Congressman King said, “This is the most shameful cascade of leaks I’ve ever heard or seen in government. We’re not talking about an incidental leak coming out … We’re talking about leaks involving two of the most sensitive programs in the United States government.”

He said it’s “clear” from those stories published in The New York Times that the information “came from the White House, came right from the National Security Council, came right from the Situation Room.” Rep. King continued, “For the president to say he’s outraged by this … how come he said nothing about it until a few of us, including John McCain, stood up and took him to task for it.”

The congressman pointed out that the intelligence released in the leaks is so sensitive that Attorney General Eric Holder can’t even say what the Department of Justice is investigating. He said President Obama is trying to look like John Wayne and said there’s no need to put American lives at risk in order to build up the president’s image for the election.

I don’t doubt that this will be the mantra however, there are certain methods and policies in de-classifying classified material, it requires signatures and time stamps. I have no doubt that this president will forge the necessary documents. The information was not released for political reasons except to harm the US. It is not fair, in our presidents mind, that the US should use these secret weapons against our enemies, aka Islamic nations, or better yet, his friends.

This was treason of the highest order. The country spent many billions to develop and install these weapons and now they are gone, wasted and the targets will be on the lookout for them to return in their various forms. A whole area of defense taken away from us by a filthy leaker. Someone needs to hang for this, sickening. no leak of classified information from the White House because Obama declassified it!

It was leaks of classified information involving a cyberwarfare program against Iran. The leaks included sensitive intelligence programs and activities, including specific details of sources and methods.

Remember Stuxnet?, the cyber worm that destroyed Iran’s centrifuges and set their nuclear timetable back at least a year? Well, info on that was leaked and we now know that it was a joint US-Israeli operation ( but then I already suspected that without anyone telling me ).

Does anyone in their right mind think the spineless batch of House Republicans led by Bonehead Boehner will offer up charges of impeachment? Actually, that’s another reason they do nothing. They know what the penalty for treason is and certainly don’t want to be on the receiving end of the sentence, nor go down in history as being a ‘prosecutor’ for this ‘particular’ administration.

Even if they were on the prosecuting side, the trial would expose every ‘sin’ they ever committed and likely land them in their own treason trial.

I wrote my Congressman and asked some of these same things. I got the nicest letter back, thanking me for my support and kind words.

We have no representation anymore. We have to vote them ALL out....maybe more than once to get back to We, the people.
