Panic is setting in among the people who ran the Democratic Party prior to the miraculous arrival on the scene of Barack Hussein Obama and the perfect storm of events that propelled him into the White House.
These people, starting with Bill Clinton, the master Democratic politician of our era, can read the tea leaves, and the following factors alarm them:
1. Obama has energized his opposition. Despite throwing everything they could into the game, the turnout effort in Wisconsin was handily beaten by those Tea Party nobodies and an RNC head who is actually up to the job.
2. Obama has alienated hugely important constituencies. Labor unions, utterly essentially to the ground game in November, feel betrayed, and are starting to focus more on their own survival than the success of the Obama re-election campaign. The antiwar left feels betrayed over Gitmo, drones, rendition, domestic surveillance, and a host of other issues. They turned out in San Francisco picketing his fundraisers, and spoke of not voting. His Bain Capital attacks are verging into a repudiation of capitalism, so Wall Street and the finance sector are getting alarmed, and the essential flow of political contributions to Democrats from them is drying up.
3. The economy is a disaster, and Obama is doing all the wrong things. The administration is reduced to making implausible claims of spending moderation based on an internet post. The public is fed up with Obama's performance, and his personal popularity is declining and will tank further as he goes increasingly negative on Romney. Swing voters are almost as negative about Obama as are Romney voters.
4. Obama is out for himself, and himself only.

A wave election is shaping up. Democrats could be swept out of office in Congress, and on down to statehouses, city halls, and dog pounds. With the left flank threatening to stay home, union funds and enthusiasm depleted, and Obama offering nothing but negativity, while Tea Partiers mobilize nationally as never before seen on the GOP side, the electorate will skew so far right that the GOP could end up as dominant in 2013 as the Democrats were in 2009.

I haven't read or seen any insider comments saying so.
I keep on getting this vibe an out of the blue event is going to keep Romney from attending the election.
Like a stroke, a heart attack, a completely random accident or something, like a Final Destination scenario.
No matter how much they try to protect him it WILL happen.

I remember when Billy Boy and his tuna smeared the DNC beyond all rational conception.
It was said THEN that the Clintons were destroying the DNC.
It didn’t happen… so like a man ingesting small amounts of arsenic over time in order to survive the one massive and lethal dose, the DNC survived.
What we have now is a DNC so monstrously vile that it can neither be sullied nor destroyed by any individual or any thing-however, grotesquely criminal and unprincipled …. It functions now like a rampant, killing virus impervious to all known antidotes!!
It has become more corrupt and pernicious than the actual evils against which our government was devised to protect us!
Obama is beginning to smell like a loser.

I think Romney is gross too, but Obama has to be out, there are many who believe Romney is pathetic but who will vote for him nonetheless to get rid of Obama. So, while you are free to express your opinion, respect the opinions of others.
In the end, it will be Obama's hubris and self-centeredness that will be his undoing.
They honestly believe they are royalty...God's gift to the world. Everyone needs them...but they need no one (but perhaps Axelgrease and Jarrett).

Yes it is. But it is an all or nothing opportunity for Romney. Waiting in the wings for the left is not Hillary, but Cuomo in New York, who is burnishing his cred by tinkering with spending without resorting to major taxes. He’s sure to become the voice of the opposition in 2013, not the dickweed from Maryland. Romney is going to have only one chance to really cut spending and right the economy, and it will have to happen in his first year. If he does not, the Republican Congress will be swept out in 2014.
