It is not that difficult once you get the hang of it.

First of all you need to register (don't worry its free) with a site that stores you pics and then allows you to copy and paste the HTML codes provided and imbed it into whatever posting you want.

There are many out there and a search will bring them up.

I like FLIKR and have been using them for years.

You simply sign up like you would for email

Once you have an account, you open the section which instructs you to upload you first pic and and then you proceed to do so (you can usually upload 6 or 7 pics at a time) and you can also make these private or avaible for public viewing.

Then once you have done that, you click the pic and follow the instructions (usually by clicking the share button) which brings up the HTML code and choose the different sizes; copy it and then paste it in you posting.

You can then adjust the size of your pic by changing the "width" and "height" numbers you will see in the code, either increasing it to make it larger and vice versa.

Hope this helps.

First you need the picture’s internet address (URL). If it is only on your hardisk and not on the internet, you need to upload it first somewhere. Tinypic is a good site where you can upload pictures for free. Once you have uploaded a picture there, you can simply use the HTML code they provide, or write it yourself into your posting like this:

If the image’s URL is http://www.foo.com/bar.jpg, you can embed the image like

<img src="http://www.foo.com/bar.jpg">

Try this, but delete the space after the < and before the >.

<
img src=”type_the_web_address_of_the_image.com”

First you need the picture’s internet address (URL).

56newblog, in order to get an image's internet address, try right-clicking on it and, if you're using Mozilla FireFox, look for the option: "Copy Image Location". If you're using MS Internet Explorer, right click and look for Properties. Click Properties and highlight, copy and paste "Address (URL)" to a posting here.

Often you might get a idea to post an image, do a google image search that suits you best then post the url as it appears in the google search results bar as directed. You also might want to post an image related to a story you're posting. If you're using Firefox, you can get the image url to appear instantly by clicking the mouse on the left side.
Bear in mind often the images accompanied in a news article are forbidden being posted due to copyright restrictions when if spotted will be removed by the Moderator.

Those tags are for a forum that uses BB tags like vBulletin. Those do not work here. At all.

FR uses straight-up HTML. Instead of [IMG], use the HTML tag like in post #3.

You can go to just about any HTML primer on the Internet, and most of what you learn there will work on FR.

The fastest way if via Tinypic: You can upload from your harddisk there, or “transload” from other websites! You simply paste the image URL into Tinypic, then paste their HTML code into your FR posting. No typing required at all.

An additional benefit is that the pictures stay at Tinypic. If you link to a random website, they might take the image away, or worse, replace it with a g@y pr0n picture or something ;-)

I believe you posted the wrong picture. The image you posted is the Assistant Director of the Harvard Democrats for the Re-Election of Obama Debating Team.

Yes....I used TinyPic for Post 12. The only problem is that I can’t write above or below the picture, it always shows up either to the left or to the right, as in Post 12...???

In Firefox, you can highlight the picture, right click, and choose “Copy Image Location”. Type your < img src=” (without the space between the left bracket and img), then hit ctrl-c to paste the image URL. Finish with “>, and post.

Correction - no need to highlight. Just point at the pic and right click.

Exactly...but what I was hoping to do was avoid having to type the < img src=” stuff. But I guess there’s no getting around it. But mega-Thanks !!
