PENNSYLVANIA - June 6, 2012 (WPVI) -- Miss Pennsylvania is resigning from her post, just days after the Miss USA Pageant took place.

Sheena Monnin wrote on her Facebook page that she turned in her crown, because the pageant was "fraudulent, lacking in morals, inconsistent, and in many ways trashy."

Monnin later claimed another contestant had seen a list of the top 5 finishers, before the Miss USA show even started.

What she should have done was to post the five finalists somewhere that it could be timestamped - perhaps in an e-mail to herself - so she could then produce it to prove her claim.

As it is, it just sounds like sour grapes.

FOUND IT!!! HERE IS HOW THE ARTICLE ORIGINALLY READ. One of the contestants in the Miss USA pageant, which was held this past Sunday in Las Vegas, claims that the event was fixed. Earlier this week, Miss Pennsylvania USA Sheena Monnin announced on Facebook that she was giving up her crown, claiming the Miss Universe Organization, which runs the Miss USA pageant, is "fraudulent, lacking in morals, inconsistent, and in many ways trashy." Monnin reportedly has since published another Facebook post in which she alleges she "witnessed another contestant who said she saw the list of the Top 5 BEFORE THE SHOW EVER STARTED proceed to call out in order who the Top 5 were before they were announced on stage." Monnin also writes, "After it was indeed the Top 5 I knew the show must be rigged; I decided at that moment to distance myself from an organization who did not allow fair play and whose morals did not match my own." The Miss Universe Organization tells E! News in a statement that Monnin resigned due to her objection over the inclusion of a transgender woman in the Miss Universe Canada pageant. The statement continues, "She has changed her story by publicly making false accusations claiming that the pageant was fixed, however the contestant she privately sourced as her reference has vehemently refuted her most recent claim." Miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo was crowned the winner of the Miss USA pageant. The real story is about transgenders. ABC News has altered and added to the story to make it look like something else. read my post #22. That is how the original article was written and it has been updated in the last few minutes. I thought it odd the article discussed "transgender" and then mention Miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo was crowned the winner of the Miss USA pageant. I thought "Why is a contestant in anther program important and then looked it up. It appears Ms. Culpo answsered the LBGT question correctly. /S

I used to watch the Miss America pageant a long time ago and, every year, the finalists would be four beautiful girls and a dog-faced hook-nosed Miss New York or Miss New Jersey who almost always made it to the final three.

I used to wonder why the ugly duckling made it so far until I figured out that was probably the mob's price for hosting the thing in Atlantic City. Some Teamster's daughter with dreams of fame would get close enough to finish in the money although she rarely won.

I heard Trump being interviewed about this on one of the morning shows and he said he is going to sue her. And that his people have already found and interviewed the girl who allegedly heard the list, and that she claims it’s a lie.

Donald Trump, who runs the Miss Universe Organization, called Monnin's claims that the pageant was fixed "totally ridiculous" in a live interview Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" and said the pageant organization plans to sue Monnin for making the "false charge."

This is why I do not watch beauty pageants.

Seat three guys at a card table, give them a couple good beers, and they'll always pick a much more beautiful Miss (Whatever) every time.

The finalists have to be near 6 feet in height, more than likely have had a boob job, wanna' own their own boutique, and probably are close to an undergraduate degree.

Witness the fact that an absolutely stunning, gorgeous, 5 foot 2 inch, high school graduate, would never get to the finals anyway. And if she dared to say that she believes in Jesus and would like to be a housewife some day and have a family, she'd be booed off the stage.

Rumor here in Pittsburgh is that she resigned over Miss USA reversing its decision regarding transgenered “women”. The pageant will now permit “women” who are transgenered to compete.
