(Eric Holder's) DOJ to Monitor Wisconsin Recall Election
Breitbart ^ | 6/4/12 | Dana Loesch

Posted on 06/04/2012 1:45:21 PM PDT by Nachum

Eric Holder's Department of Justice will monitor a number of Wisconsin polling places on Tuesday.

The state Department of Justice will dispatch a team of assistant attorneys general and special agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation to Appleton as part of its efforts to prevent voter fraud.

Appleton is one of 12 cities that will be monitored Tuesday during the recall election. Seven teams will monitor Milwaukee in conjunction with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office, two teams will monitor Madison, and single teams will be sent to Beloit/Janesville, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Kenosha/Racine, La Crosse, Waukesha, and Wausau.

“The June recall election is a significant event in our state’s history,” said Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen. “The people of Wisconsin need to have confidence that their rights are being protected and the laws are being followed.

Apparently, the DOJ is suddenly interested in voter fraud.

So how prevalent is voting fraud? It’s practically nonexistent according to repeated studies, including an extensive review of Wisconsin elections.

Even voter fraud where it legitimately doesn't exist.

See, now that makes it completely different! (chiding myself for not reading the article). I was wondering why they were quoting Van Hollen on this if it were the Feds coming in.

ALL:
NM my previous post... I’m still going to keep my eyes and ears open when going to vote tomorrow though. I’m more excited to mark my choice than worried about tomorrow for Walker. Worried more about the Senate seats, and praying we retain the slim majority we have so we can continue to move forward with REAL progress towards getting this State working well again.

The poster made a mistake - these teams are being sent by the WISCONSIN STATE Dept. of Justice under Atty. General J.B. Van Hollen (R). I was really upset at first, also... Until another posted pointed a link to the original article at the Post-Crescent newspaper.

I'm RE-POSTING this information as it's (obviously) a VERY important CORRECTION.

The teams are from the WISCONSIN DEP'T of JUSTICE - NOT HOLDER'S FEDERAL DOJ!

The Wisconsin STATE DOJ is headed up by Wisconsin State Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen who is a Republican.

From FReeper Petrosius: A link to the original article Ms. Loesch based her column on -
Recall Roundup: Election monitors to police polling in 12 Wisconsin cities, including Appleton

I’m not understanding your response to my post. I was pointing out that these election monitors haven’t been sent here by the Feds - they are teams sent by our directly elected State Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen (a Republican) through the WISCONSIN DOJ - not the Federal DOJ.

People are freaking out over this, and it's not even accurate information. Ms. Loesch made a big mistake, and this article says that it is the FEDERAL DOJ that is sending teams, and it is not. These monitors are being sent out directly by our REPUBLICAN State Atty. Gen. Van Hollen and has NOTHING to do with Holder's DOJ. The original article that Ms. Loesch based her column can be found here:

Recall Roundup: Election monitors to police polling in 12 Wisconsin cities, including Appleton
[The original source can't be posted here, but this column by Dana Loesch is getting people all riled up over false information. Not sure what the solution is, but don't think it should stay in "Breaking News" when there is such a glaring error in the reporting. Have sent *abuse* report on this, but wanted to ping you personally, too.]

What a laugh. The only reason the DoJ is there this time is to maximize Democratic chances to defeat Walker. I suspect they will be very Jennifer Brunner-esque in their activities. That is to say, they won’t publicly pull anything blatantly fraudulent, but they will almost surely apply the most advantageous interpretation to any rules or authority they can invoke to affect the outcome.

Whoops, my bad. I didn’t read far enough to see it was the state level justice department at work here.

Actually, the Federal DOJ is sending thugs of their own, plus the Attorney General is sending people to the places.

Wisconsin, PROTECT THE VOTE! You had better have a plan in place to MONITOR AND PROTECT THE VOTE by doing whatever is necessary to make your presence known and do the job!

Whatever it takes, you must get out there and PROTECT THE VOTE! The evil vermin you will be encountering Tuesday play down and dirty....beat them at their own game and BE VIGILANT AND PROTECT THE VOTE.

I can’t say it enough..We The People must win on this. God bless you all and this Chicago area conservative is praying for right to prevail and for a WIN!

Question: if this is a state election, why is the DOJ monitoring a STATE election???

Among AGs, Ramsey Clark is a John Ashcroft clone when compared to Eric Holder.

Thanks for the clarification. It was Dana Loesch of Breitbart that made the error—her first two sentences were contradictory.

With the corruption of Holder and his AG’s office, it was certainly believable.

Pray for Wisconsin today—so we can have a new birth of freedom for America.

Just to be sure all those dead Wisconsin people get to vote.Seems to be a rise in the number of racial and ethnic minority voters with Germanic surnames, LOL.

Shavaughn Kroll. Mohammed Nagel.Good Amish names for Wisconsin voters.

“Vote for the left,” says Holder, as often as you can!The fed DOJ is as impartial as Adolf Hitler would be in a Beer Hall election.

What can the DOJ do here?

There is no Federal office at stake in this contest. I would hope that there is a local sheriff’s deputy assigned to follow them around and make ^instant^ arrests for “interference” with a STATE election.

Eric Holder sending DOJ employees to monitor an election is like sending a crack whore to monitor a Las Vegas brothel.
