While conservative activists have focused on the promotion of gay marriage by store chains J.C. Penny and Target, Macy's has gone under the culture radar in its partnership with the Obama-allied homosexual group, the Human Rights Campaign. The incoming president of HRC, Chad Griffin is an Obama bundler.
You won't see it in Macy's weekly sales circular, and you'd be hard pressed to find it on the front page of the Macy's website, but the Human Rights Camapign is loud and proud in declaring its partnership with Macy's urging customers to purchase "election year" Vote Equality t-shirts with the proceeds going to the Human Rights Camapaign.
Walking in to a local Macy's, one might see a rainbow-hued poster displayed at the entrance with the message "Celebrate Family + Friends, Love + Life, Equality + Respect, Pride + Joy."
Missing from the poster are the words Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender. And the word Macy's. If one looks closely at the bottom of the poster displayed in the store a tiny Human Rights Campaign logo can be seen.
A click on Macy's Celebrate Diversity web page shows the non-descriptive Pride + Joy image which denotes (June 2012) "National Pride Month", along with other images of Macy's diversity month camapigns.
The (September 2012)Hispanic Heritage Month image reads, "Macy's Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month." The (February 2012) Black History Month image reads, "Macy's Celebrates Black History Month." The (May 2012) Asian Pacific American Heritage Month reads, "Macy's Celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month."
See the pattern? Macy's makes clear to all its customers when they walk in the store that they are proud to associate the Macy's name with Hispanics, Blacks and Asian Pacific Americans. But when it comes to Macy's alliance with the LGBT community and its radical agenda, Macy's goes on the down low with a nod and a wink. Why won't Macy's use a poster that says, "Macy's Celebrates Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Month"? Macy's uses those word deep in its website, but not in public.
The Human Rights Campaign has a photo of a Macy's display promoting the "Vote Equality" campaign:
Again, no obvious mention of promoting homosexuality. Why won't Macy's and the Human Rights Campaign be forthright about their campaign?
According to the Human Rights Campaign, Macy's will feature the "Vote Equality" campaign in only six stores nationwide:
As we kick off LGBT Pride month today, HRC is proud to announce a growing partnership with Macys. The retailer will feature HRC merchandise in its Boston Downtown, Columbus Easton, Los Angeles Beverly Center, Macys Minneapolis, Saint Louis West County and San Francisco Union Square stores throughout the month of June.
Featured merchandise will include a Vote Equality t-shirt, which will be displayed prominently in stores during this election year. One hundred percent of proceeds from the partnership will go to HRCs fight for LGBT equality.
On its web site, if one looks hard enough, Macy's promotion of Gay Pride parades can be found.
Macy's also proclaims, "MACY'S IS PROUD TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE HRC AND ALL ITS INITIATIVES"
Macy's also promotes its work with a suicide prevention group focused on LGBTQ youth.
One can also take the Pride Trivia quiz and maybe win a $100 Macy's gift card. (Who hand-dyed the first Gay Pride flag? What are the colors of the Gay Pride flag?).
The Obama administration is closely allied with the Human Rights Campaign. In addition to having an Obama bundler heading up the group, President Obama spoke at the group's 15th anniversary dinner last year.
Earlier this year, the Obama IRS was accused of leaking confidential tax documents from a traditional marriage group to the Human Rights Camapaign.
This is not the first year of the Macy's Pride + Joy campaign, but Macy's involvement in election year politics encouraging customers to vote for the radical homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgender agenda of Obama and the Democrats takes the effort to a new level.
Ok, Macy’s, have it as you wish. I am a conservative woman, and I SHOP.
And I have choices — Bloomingdales, Sears, Lord and Taylor, and a myriad of knock off stores that sell designer clothes at much cheaper prices.
If other stores were smart, they’d capitalize on this as Macy’s enjoys a very healthy market in a lot of areas.
Ezekiel 16:48-50
"48 As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good."
OMG!!
Thank you for posting this. Heck, I didn’t know about Target and JCP. Now Macy’s, too. Guess I’ll have to avoid all of them. Funny, because of their various store categories, I liked all of them pretty much.
God help me if Nordstrom goes gay. Please say it ain’t so.
They have no business BLATANTLY promoting sickening org’s like this in that photo.
Good question. And the other side of the coin is why they overtly antagonize 50% or more of the population, who may well get their merchandise elsewhere (like yours truly).
But they're not alone - many state, local, and federal politicans (and public institutions) bow to the gay mafia as well. Sickening and unnecessary, but true.
That's a big part of the problem. If these people were busy doing something constructive, they wouldn't have the time or energy to engage in destruction.
“In 2010 remember all the great things we were told a Republican House would do?
We had a Democrat-controlled White House and U.S. Senate, as well as a liberal MSM covering for them. so it’s not like Republicans and conservatives were all powerful.
Where? Like most reasonably thrifty Americans, when I need clothing I would normally shop at places like these two stores. What’s the alternative? Gap’s lost too. It seems like it’s almost impossible to buy clothing anywhere that even remotely supports conservative values.
Well, another store to shun and another letter to write (which will end up being read and tossed in the circular file by someone who will laugh at the backward bigotry of it). I won’t miss the place myself. Our local Macy’s has a sparse selection of overpriced junk, with very little actual style to be found anywhere.
I was going to say that it will only be a matter of time before Macy’s features tranvestites in its Thanksgiving Day parade, but I see from another post they already have. I wonder how much longer God will suffer the perversion and sickness of this nation.
Exactly right. The ads that came with my Sunday newspaper largely feature Hispanic and black models, as though this is the new reality. It's fine for other countries to want to keep their demographic makeup, but Americans are racist for wanting to do so.
"One partcularly eggregious ad I recall is for a home security system, where the burglar was a white male and the home being burgled was fantastically upscale and the occupants were a Black family. The get away with these perverse portrayals all of the time yet no one ever says anything about them."
I know the one you mean. You will NEVER see a black criminal in a commercial. I've actually wanted to call that alarm company, just for the hell of it, and ask them why they don't adhere a little more to reality, and if they are in fact bigoted against white people.
“...Ive got 3 Macys gift cards...”
What you have is an opportunity for guerilla warfare. Go in and ask the sales clerk where their ‘patriotic attire’ section is, as you want to buy something appropriate for a Fourth of July celebration. :-)
Good Bye Macys!
A while back I resolved to quit using "gay". I'm tired of playing along with their demands to redefine the language in order to make something repellent seem more palatable. I often use "sodomite."
Macy’s on Friday began selling a line of t-shirts to coincide with Gay Pride month.
The shirts will be available in 6 stores, including Boston Downtown, Columbus Easton, Los Angeles Beverly Center, Macy’s Minneapolis, Saint Louis West County and San Francisco Union Square.
One-hundred percent of sales will go to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest gay rights advocate, HRC said in a blog post.
One shirt says “Vote Equality” and another “Love Conquers Hate” along with the HRC logo.
The shirts will be displayed prominently in stores along with HRC signage.
According to HRC, Macy’s “has consistently rated highly on the HRC Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, the national standard in evaluating policies, practices and diversity efforts relating to LGBT workers.”
Macys was the first big retailer to give equal benefits to gay and lesbian employees. Earlier this year, one of the companys ads featured a gay wedding cake with a subtle photo of two grooms on top. That drew a small amount of criticism but a large amount of praise from some members of the public.
Macys senior vice president William Hawthorne says of the new Gay Pride Month event, Macys is proud to recognize and honor our LGBT employees and customers during Pride Month with our nationwide Pride+Joy campaign.
He added, During Pride Month and throughout the year, we will remain committed to supporting the LGBT community through a variety of initiatives including our long-standing partnership with the Human Rights Campaign. ###

Pride is one of the seven deadly sins. Along with lust and gluttony.
Well after all, John Wayne Gacy WAS a gay Democrat...
National hook-up month. During Houston’s Gay Pride parade, they have sex in the restrooms along the parade route.
There's nothing "gay" about photos of gay pride parades, it's easy to call them what they are: homosexuals.
Yep, those are some great excuses for them not accomplishing anything (good.) They are even trying to restore cuts they made in their signature (and only) achievement, the debt limit bill.
After 8 years of a GWB POTUS, Republicans developed tons and tons of great excuses for Bush. (My favorite was always "Democrats wanted him to do that")
So you prove my point, when Romney POTUS looks nothing like his promises we will see some more fancy excuse making, as with Boehner.
